OK wow...my frames bent???

well i bought her a few weeks ago and i saw the scrape marks on the front bumper cover drivers side..didn't think to much about it....looked through the flash to pass ports drivers side and saw the actual bumper up a bit..didnt think to much about it. can adjust it...well we got some nice weather out today. so i decided to pull off the front bumper cover, hood, and both fenders...come to find out. the support on the drivers side is actually about 1 3/4 higher than the passenger side... got to looking down the length of it from front to back. and see that at the first welds of the bumper support to frame is creased a bit...now what to do??? i can put everything back together excluding the plastic bumper core..and just pray i never rear end someone or run into a wall...
or block the frame from the bottom and use a beam from the top with a strong jack and push down on the frame from top to bottom to try and straighten it out a bit? any ideas? it don't affect the alignment or ride of the car. just how the front bumper sits.... ~Jerry~

Yeah I would take it to a frame shop, they can put it all back to the right measurements and check for more damage that you might not can see with your eye

well i did some checking...3 hours of frame repair is around 300 bucks which isnt bad...and that was for a car that f4 inchs up on one side and 3 inchs down on the other...mines only an inch a 3/4 so maybe itll be less...i think im just gonna go put it back together and kiss it goodnight till monday. at least its still driveable. does anyone know if the hard plastic bumper behind the cover HAS to be there for support of the frame? cause if not im gonna just leave it out...

No its is just an impact brace but I would leave it on if you can, I just put the c west front bumper on mine and had to remove it to get the bumper to fit. And $300 isnt bad for work that could save you from future problems

hopefully getting the frame straightened will help put the drivers side headlight BACk in the correct spot so the line will be factory. and not off, and the hood wont go OVER the bumper by a quarter inch....am i weak man if i saw it really makes me wanna cry to see damage like that to my baby? lol thanks for all the info guys. really been helpful, i can fix alot of things and repair even more but frames is not one of my areas. and just because i live in oklahoma dont mean ima slap some duct tape on it! lmao

I would have everything back on the car when you take it to the frame shop, It will help them incase they need to do a little tweeking to get the body lines back right. If your brace is damaged I have an extra one now along with a front bumper and lip.

yeah its damaged actually. you know where the brace slides onto the actual frame and its got the three tak welds to hold it in place? its creased pretty good and has a ever so slight tear is the metal. the only other damage i saw to the bumper cover "plastic part" was were it was pushed down onto a bolt head and left a well funny to call it this but a "wart" where it stretched around the bolt head. ...so needless to say they may actually have to cut it out and put the new bracket in. i dont know. but ill deffinitly put it all back in when i take it up there, but its my daily driver and omg do they think they put enough bolts in to hold that bumper to the fenders??? so is the plastic bumper cover called a lip?

The lip is the black plastic peice that bolts under the front of the bumper and runs the length of the bumper

ohhh ok. well everything is cometicly ok and the black plastic peice only has a bit of a gash where it was pushed back a bit. no biggie since itll be under the plastic bumper cover. im just glad they left some compensation in the bolt area for it to slide back and not actually crush the frame, thank you though.
