2013 Solo Events Calendar
Alright so I'm planning on attending one at Texas Motor Speedway maybe April 28?
I would like to go whenever a couple seasoned veterans are available, and if the speedway doesn't work shoot an idea.

Also:
I was hoping to do a presentation for one of my classes about SOLO racing but the calendar for the actual races that I could attend aren't till after the due date.
If anyone has any pictures of an actual race can you please post one or two? It doesn't matter of what. A line up, or a car going around some cones.
I would really like some pictures that I can't find on the internet.
I'll probably fake a course with a couple friends or something for video footage.

They have a nice open face helmet for $150 which I might pick up.

Alright, well it looks like I have my work cut out for me to get ready then.
Once all my projects are done I'll head over to a race or two and pay as a nonmember. If this is something that I would like to do I'll join as a SCCA member.
I wouldnt ... i'd do thigns the other way around , make sure your car is not going to blow up on the track , and get out there dont worry about class , or tires or going fast , work on the most important mod the driver . and as you go you can upgrade dont get spoiled by the car drive the car as is and then mod it and you can truly appreciate what those mods give you .

I dont mean to be rude or anything , But dont go in with the I'm Gonna kick *** mindset , i've seen alot of people go in with that after doing X XXX mods and end up 20 seconds off the pace on a 40 second course . work on the driver .

Absolutely. I should have suggested this - there's no reason you can't autocross as-is, unless it's just unsafe. For that matter, autocross your Crapolla, er, Carolla. there are some differences in car control between RWD and FWD, but the basics are the same. Heck, since I just bought a Jeep Cherokee, I've been researching them, and I found a guy who autocrosses and races one in the GRM $200x Challenge. Mind you, it's been lowered 4 inches and turbocharged, but it's still a compact SUV going road racing! Race what ya got!
