TX Who can tune Nikki's in DFW AREA?

OK,
I absolutely give up. I am not CARB friendly. EFI I know how to fix and troubleshoot all friggin day. I just never jacked with Carb'd cars. My 1st Gen Needs some SERIOUS carb tuning. I went thru the "How to strip your nikki carb" tutorial and did just fine. Even fabricated aluminum blockoff plates for the holes needed. However, now it just won't turn over and I am not sure what the hell the tuning process is because EVERY picture of a nikki i can find DOES NOT LOOK LIKE MINE.

Here is what I know:
This IS a Nikki Carb *stamped on the side towards firewall*
It ran fine before I stripped it with the exception it would not IDLE
Now it flat out won't start, (yes I know its going to be a cold blooded beast but DAMN)
Any and all help would be appreciated.

Anyone know of a SHOP or a PERSON in DFW Area that can help me with this thing?

Thanks,

Ari and Chris @ Rotary Performance got my 1st gen running great on the stock carb. It was stripped of all the emissions crap. They installed some adjustable secondaries that helped with the WOT tuning. Brought the car in making 60whp, left with 108whp.

don't waste your time with the stock nikki, look for a holley or weber.

TX ok

Choke butterfly and choke assembly removed. No mention of removing any fast idle rod.

So I am guessing that is still on the carb.

I also removed the butterfly valve in the intake manifold itself.

I simply cannot get the damned thing to start on it's own now. except by pouring gas down the bastard and letting it run for 2 seconds...

Any ideas? Before the stripping it would not idle without choke.. Vac leak would make it idle high...
