BM - try going to Bastrop county. I live 2 miles from the county line, and there's an inspection place a few miles on the other side. I'll be taking a car over there in the coming weeks (it's a '69 so it's exempt, but this place is closer than anything in TCo). I'll let you know what they do about seeing what county I'm from...

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but keeping an eye on status of this. I was wanting to remove my rats nest but having second thoughts. I already have a full RB exhaust, but could put a cat back on.


Any status?

One of my friends who recently move from Houston to Dallas (both require testing, and he owns a house in both places) has a small lake front cabin in a small eastern town which does not have testing.

He has his RX-7 registered and inspected there. He says they do not even open the hood or start the engine. Purely a visual inspection.

 

I know a place to get legal inspection... $80 !
