it's cool.. your not jacking a thread when your staying on or near the topic.

Since just about everyone in this thread was talking about the same needs (ie a mechanic in LA). i'd figure you'd have a better chance getting their attention and help than by starting a new thread which might otherwise go unnoticed.

Since Katrina many of t he normal Louisiana people have been spread out from one end of the country to another and havent been regular posters.

well i guess to each his own....but i have to say Hassan and Allen ARE NOT recommended by me. IMHO! but i have to agree with mark, in that you get what you pay for! unless you listen to people who have been there before and went the "easy/cheap" way before and
now know, then i guess you'll have to find out for your self. i guess it really boils down to if you want it done right or not....regardless of the price (within your realistic price range).

Let me say this about Freddy Hebert and now Jonathon. They are some incredible talents who have gone to the tenth power to get stuff right. if you bring your car to them, have all your issues ready. No money people that are piece mealing kits and motors after they get the car to the shop are not wanted. It takes too much time and space to add stuff to your car after you got your motor pulled.....i know cause I worked on most of them there.
Buy all your goodies up front...I mean everything. Dont make the owner wait and run around to fabricate stuff (plumbing, elbows oil lines) for your car so it will run. Another thing that seems to happen is newbies buy used cars that have gone through several owners and have been modified both electrical and mechanical.the shop can do anything but when you bring an unkown, the game chages. We dont want to hunt problems if you got the car like that. Motor changes , exhaust and mechanic work no problem.Fixing a POS is.
So help the shop help you.Have everything before you drop your car off.

The Three Rotor is now in his FD again while he does some readjustments to his first gen's chasis...

any shops that could ressurect an FD?

i was wondering if there might be any shops around louisiana or texas that could ressurect an FD..... car needs rebuilt motor, fenders, headlights and needs seats, carpet, console, guage cluster things like that in the interior...

i want to put on a widebody kit and get it repainted.... i have money to spend but i just want to find a shop that could redo the car with all aftermarket parts...

if you guys know of any shops or reputable guy who could do all the work then it would help me alot.... thanks

We do just about anything here at Gotham Racing. We currently have a few 13B SP engines and upgrades in a few cars, a 20B project, and also a LS1 project. We just finished with a MR2 recently and we're also building a 2JZ in a supra to support 1200rwhp. We have a few cars getting painted at our shop as we speak so we pretty much do anything from engine rebuild to engine upgrade/porting, to engine swap to stereo to paint and body work.

I'd recommend Gotham Racing, it's a one stop shop from motor, tuning, and body work.

I need someone to come to Lafayette to get my FD up and running, I have access to a trailer and I have a Tahoe also, so bringing it to Houma is possible. Someone let me know how to get in touch with Freddie.

Freddie is a top notch mechanic and she should be able to take care of any problems you may have.
