Paul, you gonna make it in the IT car? Looks like a good weekend to pick up some Toyo bucks and a trophy.

Anybody know if Chris G is still alive? I haven't seen him at the last few races.

Surprisingly, there are 3 ITS cars registered already. I don't think I've seen but 3 different ITS cars in the past several years.

Any rotorheads in the area want to come check it out, normal entry is $5 but if you PM I'll see if I can get that bumped down to $0. Of course, if you want to make some extra $$ working, also PM me as we need some help in a couple areas. If you work either or both days, you get lunch and if you work Saturday you're invited to the food & beer party at Wings & More!

This should be a great event, lots of track time for cheap. Right now looks like I'm out. I've been going to Tampa every weekend to visit a sick relative, no end in sight. Not to mention that all my money is going to AirTran. Has also put a stop to my ep car building activities. On a positive note I picked up a nice light set of AR wheels with almost new hoosiers for the IT car on the cheap. Hope to be out soon, I really miss racing & seeing all you guys.

I would have thought Chris would have been down at TWS with the SM herd a few weeks ago?

My friend Bert is coming with his newly acquired and Steve Kan tuned FP Miata, he should have some open crew slots as well.

Sorry to hear, Paul. How is the EP car comin'? I saw you post that it was on it's way to the cage shop on the prodcar board a little while ago.

I didn't see CG at the Double, but then again I spent most of my time on grid and not nearly enough time wandering around the paddock. I did end up hanging out in tech both days post-SM race, and I would assume I'd have run into him there at least.

EP project is at a standstill. After a $1600 quote to soda blast it I decided to scrape all the stuff out myself. Dry-iced, scraped, and now I'm getting the rest out with mineral spirits, car is totally stripped. (BTW, this is a really nice unmolested 85 w/no sunroof) Next, need to degreese and prime/paint myself. I need to cut off rear fenders and a hole for the cell, then it's off to the cage shop. I need to tour some local cage builders and then decide if I should use Lucas in Houston or stay local. I am holding out a slight glimmer of hope to make the Topeka June race. If not that's ok.

Ya'know, if I was building a cage for an EP car already I could probably put one in mine....

Make sure you cut the hole for the cell in a proper location to make room for the exhaust AND trilink. I can give you measurements for the trilink if you need 'em.

Well I didn't see anybody come by... but I wasn't near the car much unless I was about to head out on track. Glad I did all that prep work in the 4 months since I'd had the car on track, I was so busy with other stuff if I had to do any fixing it would've been the end of me!

Next SCCA race is at MSR-Houston (or Mercedes Benz of Sugarland Speedway or whatever it is) Easter weekend. Hope some of ya'll can come out and watch!

Have you been to MSRH yet? The fast sweeping corners are a blast!
Let us know about the infrastucture. It wasn't quite finished in February.

I went to spectate for the NASA Feb event, and apparently 2 weeks before that when a friend of mine went to check the track out with NASA they hadn't even started on that building. I heard at the race weekend before last that they'd already done more on that building (expansion, which includes a little LED board that displays group colors for PCA/TDE, etc.).

That's about all I know about it... didn't get to drive it but spent a fair amount of time watching and listening to everybody talk about it. Seems like a lot of fun in a low horsepower car, looking forward to the April event, even though I hear grumblings about whether or not it'll happen.
