Did you take it somewhere or DIY? The alternator wasn't causing your idle problems was it?

 

Anyone up for going to the Import Tuner Bash down in South Padre Island March 11th and 12th? I'm planning on going. I went last year and of course it was great. The cars, the women, the beach, the women, and the women! Did I mention the women? I had a blast! Derrick was there with his 3 rotor. It would be cool if we could get together a group of 7s to go.

 

ITB in SPI? I think you might be on to something here. The Rotaries gotta represent. We should get together as many 7's (and 8's?) as we can and all roll down together. Think anybody from Austin is going? May be we could collaborate.

No, I fixed it all myself. The alternator didn't have anything to do with the idle. I just needed more electrical muscle. Now the windshield wipers go a little faster. It still idles low most of the time.

 

I'm working on a couple of Condos for South Padre. I believe each one will fit 8 comfortably, and will run about $150 per person for I believe 3 nights.

Nah, but we need to get some quick...that condo deal sounds pretty good though..I wonder if we could actually get enough people involved to make it happen?

It was a blast with the whole three cars, lol....Good time was still had though! I'm planning to repeat this run again in a month or two, depends on how my police academy schedule looks. I'm looking into alternate ways to get out to the same set of twisties. But, it may just look like you'll have to travel some miles to get where you wanna go. One of the roads has a series of cattle guards, so I don't know how rough everyone's suspension is, but we can roll over them slow if you want. I'm going to scout the area again, I have a passenger seat available if someone wants to tag along. I'll be looking for some BBQ areas on the river in Hunt. It would be a good break after the run. I'll try getting an exact mileage too. Sunday is an awesome day to show due to all the motorcycles you can "chase" through the hill country.....Here's some photos from the area when I went the time before last(I know it's not a 7, mine is currently under "maintenance" so we had to take the wifes SRT):

I was really really hoping to bring my FD but since I've been trying to upgrade her everything has been going wrong (anyone up for a trip to my house? lol). I know, its an FD lol. Also my 8 is in the shop too. They weren't supposed to both be broken at the same time!!! Should have that back by Friday though, if not its truck time.

The ITB is gonna be held during spring break. Thats what makes it even better.

 

From now on every Friday night at 9pm, we will be holding the weekly meets at Bennigans at 410 & San Pedro.

The "group commitee" decided this at the last meeting. Even though the ricers were annoying they did provide some good entertainment. Bennigans also has a bar for those interested in grabbing a couple drinks.

Everyone needs to remember that these meets are for everyone (except ricers, sorry ). I would love to have a good mix of sports cars and sporty cars show up for the meet.

Thats Good I think I might come by Every once In a while.As long as we don't meet at the top of the northstar parking lot hehe . Im always ending up around that area on fridays. Also Not to mention I had a great time last time I showed up even tho I don't have a RX-7, Its Hard to find good people to just sit around and talk about cars n stuff.
