Well we figured out that there is rent a cops and real cops unforutantly me and my friend found that out the hard way lol

 

Yeap sorry somthing came up. I guess the rent a cops gave everyone a hard time?

 

It was a good meeting last night! Lots of great people and great cars. Plus another cool FB in addition to mine. Let's do it again sometime soon.

 

I'm glad that the meet was good. Wish I could've been there then we'd have 3 fb's. Granted my is prolly the worst looking, but hey its an old car, and the person before didn't take the greatest care of it. Anyway I'm definately going to next one I don't care if god himself tries to stop me.

 

I personally had a great time. VERY nice to see so many RX7 guys and a couple other makes show up. Thanks to the lone RX8er James for coming out.

I will not plan another meet at North Star lol. Two security guys showed up and then 1 SAPD sargent showed up and hassled a couple younger guys driving a S2K. I was told the SAPD guy said that we were street racing or preparing to street race . After that me and the FB guy, Rick I believe, (very nice car , love the custom dash light setup ). Headed to Bennigans and meet up with probably 5+ FDs. I stayed until about 12:15 I think.

Due to the amount of RICE around Bennigans, maybe 100 shitty(my fav. was the civic w/the ferrari body kit ) cars driving around, that location on Friday is not a good meeting spot. My ears were ringing from all the BOVs and WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA sounds coming from those guys.

Thanks to Derrick for my first 3 rotor ride . I smiled the moment I got in the car and just laughed the whole ride at how awesome that car is.

Thanks to everyone for showing up, it was great to meet everyone and look forward to meeting everyone again.

Thanks Jens for calling everyone and getting people to show up, can't thank you enough. The next meet has to be on a day you can attend also.

Yeah, that was a pretty fun meet. Nice to meet some new faces too.

I like the location... centralized, food/drinks nearby. All the rice actually provided for some quality entertainment, heh. Only thing I hated was the music inside, hopefully that DJ is not there every Friday.

What else is in that same area where we could meet?

I agree about the rice it was entertaining but I could do without. As the music was LOUD in Bennigans.

I also like that location because it is relatively central for everyone. Going to 1604 & 281 might deter a couple people from coming out. I really don't know a better solution, since Friday seems to be the night most people can attend. Maybe we an try a Mon or Tues? It would be nice to get a solid date and time down, that would also help attendance.

 

yeah, like i said, I'm good for anytime after 8pm, 6pm on sat. I really wanna make the next one.

 

It's good to see some SA RX-7 action poppin' on here...I forgot to check out this forum last week. I'm dissapointed that I missed the meet. I'm definitely going to be at the next one. We need to get this day/time lined up for the next meet.

I'm down for whenever, and I mean pretty much whenever...I can meet anyday of the week anytime after 6PM and I can meet on weekends too, anytime. I think Thurs/Fri is probably prefered. The only thing that would probably keep my from going out would be bad weather.

I really don't have a preference on where we meet, but It'd be good if I didn't have to bring soy sauce with me, and I'd rather not be chaperoned by the police.

Anyone live over on the NE side? UC, Live Oak, Converse? I live right next to Judson HS, so if at all possible I'd like to roll with somebody to the next meet.

Same here, I'm just up the road near Randolph AFB. James(Silver MazdaSpeed RX8) is just a couple miles away in Converse as well.

Allright, sounds like the consensus is for Friday night again. Sounds like we still need to get the location confirmed...I haven't been to any of these places/meets so I can't really comment. Let's keep throwing ideas out there and have a vote or something.. what do you guys think?

If we can't come up with something different, we can meet up again at Bennigans at San Pedro and 410. Theres got to be somewhere else to meet up around central SA (but not in gangsta land). If everyone likes Bennigans and doesn't mind an extra 5-7 mins on their trip, theres a Bennigans at 1604 and Gold Canyon.

Maybe somewhere in the Quarry? Would we be run out of there (seriously)??
