RX-Club of Houston October Meeting - 10/13/09 @ Freebird's Burritos

RX-Club of Houston Monthly Meeting - October 13th 2009

The October meeting will be held at Freebirds Burritos located on Greenbriar @ Shepherd near US - 59.

Unfortunately, we have been asked not to return to the Skeeter's location so we have been forced to locate another South Loop location for our meeting. Look for a new SE Meeting in 2010.

Parking lot at 6, come inside to eat at 7.

3745 Greenbriar
Houston , Texas 77098
(At Shepherd & Greenbriar near 59)

PS- There are some concerns over weather as well. It's been a long time since we've had a scenic drive so if your interested in doing some twisties we can do the Anderson Loop on Sunday the 18th as a make-up event.

If you are interested in the drive on the 18th let me know via email at info@houstonrx7club.com for details.

Anderson Loop is a series of twisties near Anderson, TX. The drive is about 100 miles or so from start to finish.

Bah, you don't need to have a running rotary to come to the meet. Just ask Scott!!
Come out and have a burrito and a beer with us anyway!

Legally of course right? Because statements like that are how "friendly" inspection places get shut down and fined. Loose lips sink ships, know what I mean. Stuff like that needs to be discussed via PM ONLY.

A Cruise is just like a Police Chase, Everyone is trying to go as fast as they can, stay away from all the cops, and look as cool as you can in the pictures and videos that will make it to the web...

TX Good news.....

and some bad news. Eva is fixed!!! Bad news I can't bring her to the meet since the rest of the paint work is still being done. I will defiantly be there to eat some good azz burritos though.

Sorry to disappoint guys, but Chuck's description of the cruise is completely incorrect. Although I did get a ticket AFTER the last time I was up on Anderson Loop, coming home through the Sam Houston Forest. Damn Park Rangers!! Where's Yogi when you need him.

Cruise is generally a single file drive through some nice backroads NE of Houston with an experienced guide who controls pace and route. We hit a lunch stop for burgers and ribeye sandwiches then hit the twisties and head home.

Sounds out-damn-standing!! But again, what time? I assume lunch-ish from your description. I would love to go, but I have drill that weekend. If I were to skip out on it, I'd want to ensure that people were going to be at the cruise. This was an extremely last minute notice and will be hard to get people to commit to it. More specific info please!

Yea, i just kinda threw it out there since it was looking like Tuesday might be a wash-out.

I'm still in Austin, weather here is pretty craps too. I don't even mind going up there if it's just 4-5 cars. Drives like this attract much less attention when there isn't a huge convoy of noise and smoke. LOL
