RX-Club of Houston July Meeting - July 1st 2008

Greetings all,

It's that time again, time for the July RX-Club Meeting. This months meeting will be held at Gabby's BBQ just off 610 North Loop. This is a great location with plenty of parking so let's see what kind of turnout we can have.

Last month we had a good turnout, but there are plenty of you who were missing.

Come on out and join us next Tuesday night!

Date: Tuesday, July 1st 2008
Time: Meet in the parking lot as early as 6pm, head inside for dinner around 7pm
Location: Gabby's BBQ - 3101 N Shepherd Dr Houston, TX 77018

 

I may make it but the 7 has a hurt tranny.

Hey Rich, it's his GM parts that are failing, not the Mazda ones. :P

 

I think that was the point of his post ... but I doubt the mazda tranny would hold the torque I'm making for more than a few pulls, we'd never know because the rotary would fail before it ever got close to this level of torque. I do plan to put in a progressive system to soften the torque hit so I expect the rebuilt tranny to hold up fine.

I wonder what will break after I put in the 427 that should be around 800rwhp on spray?

 

I plan to be there unless the Universe stops me.

Thanks to everyone who came out and braved the heat to enjoy the meeting tonight.

If I recall we had dozen or more pairs of rotors, a few Miata and a lone Mazda6 showed up tonight along with a small army of non-rotary powered vehicles.

We are all looking forward to seeing the JC Cosmo next month. Don't let us down Jake!
