Lightbulb RX-Club of Houston @ All Team Bash - May 26th 2013

Greetings everyone,

I just finished setting up the RX Club of Houston details on the All Team Bash registration page. All Team Bash Extravaganza - Eventbrite

The registration page is in place to help in the planning and space allotment for our club. If you are planning on attending (with your rotary) please take a moment to sign up.

Since we are signed up as a "team" our club name will be included on the back of the official ATB T-Shirt.

What: All Team Bash -- One of Houston's largest car club gatherings
Where: Fort Bend County Fairgrounds -- 4310 Highway 36 S, Rosenberg, TX 77471
When: May 26th 2013

To help aid in registration I've taken a couple of screenshots of the process. (see below)

Step One
Go to All Team Bash Extravaganza - Eventbrite
-- Select how many entries you need.
-- Click register

Step Two
Register with website
-- Select RX Club of Houston from the list
-- Enter your car club name "RX Club of Houston"
-- Enter what type of car you are bringing to the event

DONE

Thanks for the bump Travis, I should add that initial registration is full.

All signups at this point are on a wait list and only if they receive enough interest they will rent out more space on-site.

How many cars total or just rotaries?

I know they filled 500, and are considering renting an adjacent lot onsite if there are 100 more entries.
Rotaries, I'm not sure. Probably what Travis posted earlier.

The Facebook page activity is not complulsory, however a large majority of the "active" RX Club members are users there.

Agreed, looks like a bunch of us are SOL at the moment. Even if they open up to new members... they only want your name and email so they have no idea what club we are with. Wish they would have just granted an allotment per each registered club or something like that.

Fully expecting 400 dodge chargers with strobes a la Coffee and Cars at this point.

Yeah, at least for the "show" area. I might be inclined to give up my spot closer to the event with a fellow club member, just depends on how the next 45 days go. I've got lots going on.

I never noticed them posting a cap on the entries, so my guess is this event received a lot more response than expected which I can expect since the cost is minimal (for participants).

Judging by previous years, I'm willing to bet they will end up renting an adjacent lot. ATB is one of the largest gatherings in the Houston area. Even though they are waitlisting people, please do sign up if you want to go. The more interest they get, the more likely it is they will expand the number of spots. Even if you aren't "showing", you can organize to park next to each other in the spectator lots.

Shout out to Keith for organizing all the non-monthly-club-meet get togethers this year. Almost time to start a C&C thread/event. *hint hint*

Just got an email that my registration was open based on my waitlist. I am now registered and have a ticket to show with the club for Sunday. If for some reason I can't make it I can email someone else my ticket.

Ps, its FREE.

Exact same for me actually. But ticket sure looks like I can show up as individual car with club just like you. Figure I will print the ticket and bring it and raise hell if they give me any hassle haha.

I'm going, chiefboob might make it, and a few others on the rx-club of houston facebook group are definitely going. The discussion about meeting up and rolling out just came up this afternoon.

Got any suggestions for a location to meet up at? Roll in time for the event is 9 to 11am

Don't know where everyone is located, somewhere with a big parking lot. I'm kinda central, there is the Edwards cinema complex at i10 and silber. Pretty big parking lot. But just throwing out what I know. Doesn't matter to me though.

I'm in katy, but I'm the same - I don't care where we meet. Since the place we're headed is off 59, and quite a way south, I think it would make sense to meet somewhere just off 59, a good way north of the meet. That way we don't have to drive a long time to get to the place (once everyone has assembled) and the route is straightforward.

Any more suggestions? Anyone else actually keeping up with this thread?

I decided to take mine down to do some suspension/brake upgrades so I won't be attending.

So, no details? Is this thing falling apart?

Looks like the weather could be bad as well.

The talk on fb is for meeting at the lowes on highway 36 just south of i69 (aka 59) bout a half mile away from the meet. Not sure about the time, you should really check there for updates. I'll head there regardless, you and I can meet up there around 9:00 or whenever you want... I'll pm you my number
