TX Rotary Mechanics Around Houston?

I'm looking into getting my engine rebuilt and ported and was just wondering if there were any reasonable price mechanics around that can help me out.

Brian Cain, BDCmotorsports.com
He ported and built my motor...The only thing is that Brian is up north, Dallas area... If you do some research you see the majority of the Rotary tuner shops are up north or west in S.A.
here is a recent video of my car...Brian does great work!!!

Question

Why such a high idle and the sputtering???
Maybe the bridge port, but not for the cyclical sputtering.

Thats what bridgeports do mang. Brap Brap Brap "cyclical sputter" "cyclical sputter".

The "cyclical sputtering" is the coolest part of the idle.

Mine sounds the same way - except my exhaust note is deeper and way cooler.

Its a Half bridge motor, so a higher idle is required.. i did drop the idle abit more after i made that video..

What are the specs of your build -- engine, turbo, fuel, etc.? Do you have power numbers? Did BDC do the tuning as well?

Your engine just sounds mean... congrats.

I am the south texas rotary builder, I am working on building a shop but as of now i am still working from my house.

I have built alot of engines from stock to the 500+hp range so you dont have to worry about the quality of my rebuilds.

A test of the true reliability of my motors has been are 2 lemons race cars, these engines get abused for 16+ hours per race and haven't ever failed.

I will build the motor to your liking, tell you what parts can and can not be reused.

Just ask around if you want to find out about me!

Personally I haven't done allot of dyno time on my own motors (In cars I own or share)

But most of my engine go off and I just get emails saying how everything is going, the highest rwhp anyone has contacted me about was just above 560.

My FD with the previous turbo setup was approx over 500, just because of the power it had, i never put it on a dyno, it was all street tuning.

Nothing wrong with home shops Also, I recommend NOT going bridge-port unless you are planning to make over 800rwhp

Thats strange...here on youtube you said you dynoed 706rwhp at 25psi.

"Done with the race gas dyno runs, stopped at 25psi because didnt like where the intercooler temp was heading. Best Run 706hp @ 25psi

Rx7Nut 9 months ago "

Heres the link. http://youtu.be/-ufvA7m6PYs Its the second comment from the top.

So 706 is your highest hp? Or 560?

^^ Damn, Dom's going ***** deep with that one.

Well regardless of the actual numbers, Chuck built a motor for me that I abused and did unspeakable things to... and it never let me down.

And speaking of numbers, I'd actually be more worried about compression numbers if I was paying someone to build me a motor. Mine were over 110psi with used housings, so I have reason to beleive that if my turbo setup and stadalone wern't entirely ghetto it would have done well.

HOLD up

You are taking the above comment and there is one other

"I bet if I could get some more cooling for the intercooler I could break 750" <---- I was talking about the above post.

out of context, I never said that was my car I was talking about, the guy that I was directing that comment to found my name on Youtube after I contacted him on RCC. This guy was supposedly talking alot of trash to someone that PM'ed me on RCC, I sent him a message trying to smooth out what the other guy said. This was not one of my motors but I helped with the dyno tuning of it. So yes the highest any of my motors have been confirmed to put out was just above 560

Why do you think he started with this comment "i really doubt you will increase 250 more horsepower with 7-11psi more i would say 100-150 more maybe but doubt 250" This was something we where talking about in private.

If you see one of my other comments "That is correct, I added alot of fuel to the map to keep the AFR's really low while I was breaking everything in. The car is now tuned on pump really well to 18psi. This is producing around 550hp, the next step is race gas and 25-29psi to see if I can break 800 or the motor, witch ever comes first "

I have never done the race gas part

It is amazing how just a few comments can change the perception of stuff.

You said "Done with the race gas dyno runs, stopped at 25psi because didnt like where the intercooler temp was heading. Best Run 706hp @ 25psi"

From reading this, I understood that you dynoed 706 hp. No where did you say this wasnt your car, and when the person you were replying to congratulated you on joining the "700hp club", you didnt correct him. You continued on as normal..accepting his praise.

If I am misunderstanding your statement, like others are, I apologize. But I dont think I am.

I'd love to see the 560hp dyno graph...I dont doubt it possible, but you've made some hysterical horsepower claims in the past and still to this day...all unproven.

I dont doubt you build a good engine for the Lemons car, but the constant claims that you've produced a 500+ hp engine with ZERO dyno time are slightly annoying.

Its similiar to the guy that says he drives an 11 sec vette, but has never been to the track. Its 11 seconds when it runs 11 seconds...and no time sooner. So in your case, you constantly claim 500hp plus hp in your 3rd gen yet there hasnt been any dyno graphs posted, nor track times of said 500hp. Butt dyno is worth .02 cents.

If I am misunderstanding your statement, like others are, I apologize. But I dont think I am. You are but that isnt a problem because it doesn't bother me and that is your right

Email to said person found... Email sent for graph. I have posted on numbers that I have gotten from people that I have built there engine, I cant say one way or another if they are legit but if I get told ___ number why would i care about if it was correct or not, I am just glad that my motor is doing what I built it to do.

Well that is what I got on my FD, so if that doesn't make you happy then I guess you are not going to be happy

I am pretty much done with this whole pissing match, it really isnt me, people think what they want and people have that right to. People still come to me to get engines because of my track record.
