Yeah, I'll go. Don't think I'll be racing but I'll provide moral support (and compression tests) to those who are. Chuck, RX7Nut, must go or my life will not be complete.

If you're going to the track - be sure to RSVP with MSR.

If you're going to watch only - RSVP and its only 5 bucks.... but they feed you dinner too so maybe all in all not a bad deal.

Oh yeah - two of the sessions are open lapping sessions. You can run your street car on the track.

The last session is a bracket race session and its wheel to wheel racing. Your car must be race prepped. I'm planning on having at least one of the Lemons hauled to the track and run that.

I did one of these late last year. It was a blast. Nothing like finding out what speed the FD can reach in the back stretch and of course learning that you're not as good as a driver as you think you are (Which one learns when they get lapped by a spec Miata)

Hopefully they hold another one of these in September when I am back from Thailand.

^^^ When I was passing that 350Z, I looked up and saw you taking the video!

The bracket race was really fun and it will be even more fun next time since I understand how it works on a road course.

Oh yeah - its too bad you didn't get any video of Cuba.

I guess its understandable since he drives like a girl - and you're not set up for time lapse photography.

Umm, look who's talking. Are you the dude with the ridiculous yellow LS1 FD, among others?? Man I'd love to see it -- didn't know you were in TX.

I went to law school in Waco and go back occasionally. I'd love to swing by some time.

^^^ Clockwise full track at MSR. Car was running 1:59

Speedometer is broken but getting way up top in 4th gear on a T2 transmission / rear end.

Tires are 225/45/17

My inner GPS is telling me I was cooking along somewhere in the low 100's. Whatever Cuba says he was going... but faster.

Hi Stephen,
haha... I sold Richard(technomentor) an FD several years ago that I ended up picking back up from him a few years back. He's good people.

I just arrived here in the great state of TX, but am leaving for a little while due to "work" . I'll be back next year though. I'll def. be at the track. I'm hoping they open up the new F1 track to track day groups after the first F1 race is complete there.

I was pulling 102 MPH calculated by RPM.... 4th gear....tire size...... 6500 RPM 4th gear.... But since my car actually handles and actually has brakes.... I was able to stay in the gas wayyy into the turn at diamond....

You are prolly pulling 105-107 MPH..
