WOW...time really flies. Good to hear you guys are doing well in Houston. I have a sister in Kingwood and cousins in Clearlake. About the AC...your GF must be reallly understanding!!!!

Do you know how to do fiberglass work? I am debating doing it myself or seeing if the body shop can do some of the work. I really don't have the time but the diffuser piece needs some touch up work.

HAHAHA...I actually have the FEED side skirts sitting in the garage! We'll see how it looks all together. Sometimes I don't like it....sometime I do.

your car looks sweet! Glad to see that it is running and all that drama is over!

Man thats crazy I acually grew up in kingwood and my parents still live there, small world. And yea I actually worked at a fiberglass shop for about 4 years, Its a pain in the *** and in the long run best to take it in. The place I worked is in lewisville and they can get you fixed up if you want, its waterworksrepair.com They can actually regellcoat it if it needs it where most bodyshops would just paint over it,its more pricey but worth it.
And yea I'm glad the drama is pretty much over with my car too, of course there is always something that needs attention but thats never going to change. And its good to see your car looking better than ever and past that whole electrical grimlin issues.

Talking

The FD still looks insane Derrick. Those pics are from the South Padre show huh? Nice picks! How do I get a hot chick to pose with my FD? I've always wanted to bring my FD down to SP for the show but I get lazy and don't want all the trouble of the trailer and towing deal. For the next show can you send the Toyo 18 wheeler by to pick up my FD?

Speaking of cars my 20B should be sputtering to life tomorrow around lunch time with a fresh rebuild, new pressure plate clutch etc! I havent driven the car since those pix were taken! I feeel the neeed for speeed!~ I cant wait to see the HP numbers with a full compression motor! The 525 HP was on an almost broke motor!

Thumbs up

Wow....!! When I grow up I wanna be like Derrick...!! Can't wait to see her running again. Lee had convinced me to go with a t74 and Haltech, but I changed my mind and was going to go 20b with t74. Unfortunatly I was then talked into buying land for a new house instead. So I settled for a slightly larger turbo upgrade for now. I guess my quest for ultimate power will have to wait a bit. I was really looking forward to the 500whp mark on 12 psi instead of 20+psi.

Perfect! I'll get them to do the fiberglass work. Why does FG need gel coated anyways?

Well Fiberglass doesn't need gel coat, it could just be painted with automotive paint but how the parts are molded they usually do it opposite of how you would think, They spray the gelcoat or clearcoat/paint into the mold first then lay the mat and resign on that, then when when they pop it out of the mold the top side is smooth and generally needs little finishing work. And basically the reason gel coat is used more in that style of manufacturing is it gets far less air bubbles and air voids than just paint or bare fiberglass. So dispite the fact gel costs a little more the man hours saved justify's the cost. But since a majority of the time people repaint the parts anyway the manufacturers usually do not wetsand and buff it to really bring out the finish, but it can come out looking just as good as paint with just a little effort.
