Need some Emissions Help
Hi all,
I need a bit of help I am moving here from Cali and bought a LS1 FD from VA and drove it to Plano Texas. I was originally told that Texas didnt have smog checks only to find out once I got here you guys do. So I am in a bit of a situation.
I have no parts, no cats, no tools and a very small window to get my car registered. By chance does anyone of of a Emission shop in the area that is more "flexible" with helping me get my emission/inspection sticker. Any help or advice would be great.

Honestly Id try getting it tested catless first. Only reason I say that is mines on a short, single highflow cat thats located WAY back from the headers and it passed with flying colors. So much so that I bet if I did it catless I could still get it to fly, although much closer to the limits. If you're worried and cant get into the tune to lean it out, run an e85 blend to help lean it out. It wont hurt it so long as you're not romping around on it. After the test, just fill up with normal gas and you're golden.
