NASA @ Hallett Sept. 17-18

Anybody going up to Hallett for NASA's second-to-last 2005 race? Should be fun.... hopefully the weather will be just like last year, cool and dry.

NASA's DE group has been picking up a lot of steam. Now is the time to come out and try them if you haven't before. Hallett is a fun track, but it does punish mistakes.

If he runs a faster time than me, he gets to drive my racecar for free. If I run a faster time than him, he pays for it.

I'd take it if not for the fact that I don't think I'll see any money either way.

EDIT: Oh, and Chris, if you don't see me it's not because I'm avoiding you. Somebody else in your pit, maybe....

I'll tell you the story if I dont see the enclosed trailer around...

He's not claiming any since he has no experience. But he's a deadbeat, and a punk.

When have you driven with me? Oh, that's right, never. So you have no idea.

And Chris, I make more money then you, and I make $10 an hour. So how am I a deadbeat?

If you accept the challenge I'll have the cash on hand.

I just know Chris thinks he's the god of everything, so I offered a simple challenge. Should be almost impossible for him to lose, but he won't take it, claiming "you don't do that when you're related to an alcoholic, compulsive gambler."

hey, I was once an alcoholic, I did all kindsa crap (just don't remember alot of it)

sounds like put-up-or-shut-up time........ Mr. Taylor, you're running mid 1.34's right?
Hard to beat, even if you know the car, the track, and have a ball-sack.

(why are there some many people who look at racing as something they can just get in the car and do? there is a guy, here at the ranch today, in a '04 viper- said he was going to run really fast. chump is running 1.33's- we can lap him in the 114hp spec-shitbox-miata...)

Maybe I have more experience then I'm letting on? Or maybe I was thinking about renting a car anyways, so I might as well try to get it for free at the same time? :P

I just wonder if blake saves old newspapers and used toilet paper, too.

Mid-34's where? Last time I was at Hallett the left front control arm would move in and out an inch at random. I think I still ran a :37, but that was before I knew what was going on.

A guy at work runs in the CamaroMustangChallenge and said his last two races were at Hallet and at TMS or TWS. Is that the same NASA race?

If only they allowed open cars without rollbars.

Chris, you interested in engineering up a rollbar for me? I *need* to race!

I'm fairly certain NASA requires a rollbar.

There was last year during the lunch break. But, they haven't had it at MSR all this year (that I know of). I wanted to show those pansies how it was done, too.
