My FD

Since selling my turbo vert - I didn't make it even a month before flying to Florida and bringing an FD back to Texas.

She is beautiful - not perfect by any means but perfect to me.

Shes a 93 Montego Blue Automatic Touring. 108,000 miles - original engine. No mods. Never wrecked. On paper I will be the 2nd owner although I bought it from someone who bought it from the original owner and never registered it.

She has some scratches and inperfections on the outside and the interior plastic is well - 93 interior plastic. The drivers side inside door plastics are in pieces and the passenger side looks like I'd better warn any potential passengers ahead of time.

Major issues to me:

She sat on flats for 4 years in a garage and the tires are now square. Too bad too - they are 90+% tread Z rated tires. They are all ruined. It shook the living **** out of me driving it home for 900+ miles. I need new tires.

She has an oil leak under the hood somewhere and it stinks like *** as the oil burns on hot engine.

Turbo problems oh my! I guess I will have to find out why they aren't working.

108,000 miles, if it's the original motor, the chance that the turbos are original is very high. My twins gradually made less and less boost at 109,000 miles, down to the max psi being 3. So you can count on the twins being out the door.

How bad is the oil leak, and from which side of the block?

I do have a super clean set of twins that I might try if I can't sort out the others. They are set up for nonsequential but I guess I can convert them back.

As far as the oil leak - I haven't really examined it because I drove it back from Florida all night long and haven't really looked at the leak in the day time.

I can see she has a cracked oil filler neck at the base and it might be leaking there but it really doesn't seem so. If I had to guess from a casual night time look - it seems that the turbos might be leaking oil externally? Its a stock engine bay so you can imagine how difficult a good looky-see can be.

First things first - she needs new shoes.
