your car is so unique. Some one posted pics of it in a thread from NOPI I think. I don't think they know what happened or that you are on the board. You should post an update in that link too.

And crooks should have to PAY! Grrrrr

I got the police record that was made for my incident and the name and number of the kid that was arrested was not recorded into the report.

As if his arrest didnt even happen. Kinda screwed now... I dont have any way of getting his info now. I was planning on being really peacefull and asking the kid to at least let me have the camera and PFC back. Not to make him plea guilty or anything, just to kindly ask for my stuff by. The rest isnt that important to me and if they were compelled to steal it, than its more important to them anyways. BUT, i dont have any means of getting a hold of him.

The officer isnt answering my messages either.

Homeowners does cover my camera equipment and lost property, BUT the deductible is 2500 bucks. The total in goods lost isnt more than 6000 bucks. Thats camera equipment, etc. Anything that isnt PART of the car isnt covered, cuase obviously, its car insurance's deal not home owners. Now, a check for 3500 fromt he insurance might seem decent but my premium goes up something like 15% for a long period of time. So ultimately, I think even if I do benefit by making a claim to my homeowners, it isnt significant enough to make it worthwhile. So I probably wont claim it and just sit in a hole, a deep one.

Sigh... this situation just sucks. My car is jacked up, I lost my camera equipment, they took my smily face antenna ball, my nintendo and I got to watch a F*ucken kid go home free with his mommy. blah...

Huy, this sucks! Glad you got it back though! I still remember when I first met you off 635 nearly 5-6 years ago...you're car was pretty stock on the outside, factory chrome wheels, ceramic coated everything in the engine...blue seats!!! Good ol' days. Wow, it does not even look the same at all now! Looks killer! I hope everything works out for you. Good luck.

And if you don't remember me, this might help... I gave you a ride in my FD one time when i saw you up at DTM. I drove to your shop and you showed me your car in pieces.

mrb63083, I remember that day. Dont remember your face though. DTM, wow its been along time since i heard that name.

Well, the car starts!
Thats the good news, the bad is that when they were taking out the PFC, it looks like they did some electrical work themselves and cut up the ecu wires a bit. I have to get it all back together before they short themselves out. The motor starts, but doesnt seem to idle. I cant tell what im idling at because the tach doesnt seem to work anymore... The motor fires up and stays idle for about 30 secs but then slowly lops till it shuts off. Im blowing a lot of smoke too. I started it today with the remapped stock ECU in it. So hopefully, with a new PFC in it I can figure things out a little better. Internal engine damage was my biggest fear... I dont want to get into there again

This whole situation sucks... Everytime I go out to decide to take it out of the trailer or try to work on the car, I get upset. Its hard to find the motivation I had before to work on it when Im pissed everytime I touch it. sigh...

I found my smiley face antenna ball!!!!!!

Well, seeing me now you would not help. Since you saw me I've lost over 60lbs. Did your brother ever sell the supra?

Sorry you had to go through this whole ordeal. How can they just release the kid because he's a minor?! I remember when I was in high school (California), it seemed like half the student body was on probation, house arrest, or had work detail on Saturdays!! I can only imagine how frustrating this experience must be...

I know if I were in your situation, my little teenage cousins would've been more than happy to beat this kid down...

Ari Yallon?!? Haha, his prints unfortunately were the only ones that cops found a match to. No, he didnt steal my car, he probably just touched it from the NOPI event prior to the theft.

I didnt claim the home owners insurance to cover my camera and stuff becuase I would, at best, break even in the years to come with a higher premium. Not worth it. Blah... So again, im still in a hole.

Im sheduled to bring the car into the body shop this week. Should I take it to get it repaired or take it to Oklahoma for the Import Face off event?

Ari has a concealed handgun licence I gathered. So they take your prints for that. (dont go stealing stuff from Ari... lol )

7Racer, Im taking it to a guy that works on a show team's cars. His work seems to be pretty well done and timely as well. Give me a call if you want his info. Hes by royal and 35.

You were lucky. I would strive to make my things more difficult to break into or steal. I can't believe they did all that AND you had your windows open. I'm guessing you had no type of alarm on the Durango and the trailer was set up to unload? It would be hard to do the same thing to me without waking up half the dogs in the neighborhood and getting shot before the trailer ramps were out. Install some sort of hidden kill switch on both and back in with the trailer disconnected and a tounge lock. Thieves never sleep eh?

Thanks for reminding me to put in a fuel cut switch in my car. Sorry to hear about your car. Hopefully all ends well on a possitive note.

Im a little confused about the kid. First off, this is TX, a 14 year old can be tried as an adult. They fricken had convicts come to our middle school telling us this, and how they were 14 when they ruined their lives... ...I was 13 at the time, so I didnt really care Second, what exactly did the kid do? I dont think he was stupid enough to park a stolen car right near his house... ...but considering the exterior damage... ...it would make sense. Thats too much of a car for an inexperienced 14 year old to handle.

Haha didnt know you were on the rx7club. Itll be at HIN Dallas. Come see me and Vic in the Mazda Booth!

UmmYeahOk, He was only seen getting out of the car. Not driving it. So thus he, at most, may be tried for attempt but not grand theft. When the cop yelled at him, he stopped (after running at the sight of police lights). So he didnt "Evade arrest" just lots of little stupid factors. And he was only "assisting" in the theft. That other guy that got away was probably coming back to pick him up or help mess with my car more. But becuase no one was caught "red handed" there isnt much that can be done.
