My Car was Just Stolen...

Everyone, please be on the look out for my FD. It was stolen out of my trailer about an hour ago (430AM). Oddly enough, the engine driving away was loud enough to wake up my brother and I, its a pretty unique sound that rotary engine...

Any help will be very appreciated...

Im out here at the shop looking for my VIN number. THought Id post info on the forum real quick. The car had no plates and less than a quarter tank. I doubt they got very far, but the fact of the matter is, its gone. If anyone sees it or see something resembling it. Please contact me.

Its Blue and Black when its less than 85 degrees outside and its blue and Silver when its higher than 85 degrees outside.

Im a bit too worked up to look for pictures, so ill post them later. Most of you guys know what it looks like.

holy **** dude. It takes a special type of thief to strip and sell parts for an FD. I am sure somehow he will slip up and get caught.

Sorry to hear about that Huy. I'll keep an eye out for it, but I doubt it would show up down here. I think its safe to say that it was probably some Sh*tty guy who knows about rotarys. I would bet he is even a forum member on here. Sorry again bro. If I find him before you, I'll put a 45 round in each of his knees. Ticks me off man, people can't buy and build there own 7. They have to steal other peoples hard earned work!

Is that what all the cops were doing this morning in the neighborhood? I saw them on Co______ge (you know) and what looked to be a nice blue FD at about 8:30am but kept driving - did you get it back??? I thought I heard some loud car noises at 4:30 am, thought it could have been mine but then realized no way to get it out of my driveway with the trailer blocking it.

I thought someone got busted for driving to fast in the area when I saw the cops and car. I had a house broken into 1 block from you, they took a $2k refirgerator last November.

You must live in the house with a green metal roof? You may have seen my grey/yellow/white FC being towed around lately on an open trailer with a grey Dodge.

Oof, hopefully the cops did bust the guy (as he was dumb enough to steal a visually, and literally, loud car with no plates to boot). Call it in and ask if they've found your car and give them the VIN i guess.

Well...

Long story short, I got the car back. In "decent condition" too. Ill be making a blog on my myspace soon, all my friends there are looking for it as well. Ill have pictures. I lost all my photographic camera equipment ( $6000+), Power FC, my Clarion DVD touch screen, my Nintendo NES, and some of you might remember that little antenna smiley ball in the other guage pod, lost that too... The interior is pretty torn up. The exterior got dinged up pretty bad, Curb rash and cracks and chips aplenty.

And once that power FC was out, they had to move the car, how you might ask? Well, with another car pushing the back bumper of my FD course... Fortunately, I opted to keep the OEM rear bumper on my kit. So its definately salvagable.

I lost a ton out of the Durango and the Trailer. Keep a look out for kids on a pocket rocket that matches my car. Remember it changes colors, so in the heat it would be blue and silver and when its cold, that porcket rocket will be black and blue.

SCCAITS: Wow didnt know another rotary head lived so close to me! Yep that would have been my car you saw. And I do live in that green metal roof house. I dont get a lot of traffic on my street so I really havent ever noticed yours. I had at least 7 patrol cars looking around for a guy that got away on foot. We nabbed one of the kids, he was only 14 and you cant hold a juvenile for anything other than huge crimes, so I watched that f*cker hop into a car with his sister or something free as a bird. The other guy evidently came back into the back yard of that house and was walking back to my car when the owner of the home saw him and tried to nab him. The home owner that my car was parked in front of happens to work for the FBI as well. Kinda funny seeing all these people with 9mm's slung on thier sides. That loud *** exhaust is what got me out of bed. The homeowners wife heard it last night and thought it was a plane flying low. You heard it too, I think my car is a little too loud lol...

Ill keep everyone posted as well. Ill be making a little story here for the rotor heads and one for my myspace so I dont have to tell the story a bazillion times...

Whoever said loud exhausts were bad needs to be slapped today...

Copied from my myspace:

What happened? My RX-7 was stolen, from in front of my house, in the middle of the night, out of my enclosed box trailer.

I had recently gotten back from a car show the past weekend and left the car in the trailer. I didnt get a chance to get the car out on Monday and so it sat inside the trailer overnight.

The weather had been great the last few days and Ive been sleeping with the windows open to allow for some fresh air. This morning at around 4am, I was awakened to a loud noise outside. Now, for those whom have heard my car know its loud; but for the rotorheads that know, the rotary engine has a very unique tone to it. That tone blarring into the distance is what got me out of bed.

Half naked, I walked downstairs in hopes it wasnt my car. Realizing the Durango interior lights were on, I feared the worse. I ran up to get at least some pants on, my brother came out half sleeping asking me if I was just out driving... As much as I wanted to tell him yes I was out joyriding and waking up neighbors at 4am, I couldn't.

After a quick call to the authorities, my brother and I went out on a futile attempt to find my money pit. I later was dropped off back at home to file the report with the officer. My brother continued to search on the roads. Information taken, search issued and a short episode of reality style CSI Dallas later, I too found myself driving around town aimlessly looking for my 7 year project.

The car wasnt tuned for driving; at least not in the way a thief would drive it. It was merely tuned to be moved from parking spot, to trailer and back. And the fact that there was less than a quarter tank of gas left little chance that the car got very far. I knew it was close.

My brother expired at 6am, thanks buddy I owe you one.

I continued to search the known "shady" car shops, alley ways and dark corners untill about 7:30 am and decided to head home. Before I found a moment of solace in my comforter, I got a call.

"Hey, this is officer _______. Im going to be your best friend today. I found your car."

It was found at a public park about 2 minutes away from my home. The dash at that point had been pretty torn up according to the officer. He offered to come pick me up from my house and take me there where I could drive it back. By that point, it was around the time my parents were getting up. I got my father out of bed to come along in the event an extra set of hands were needed. He and I got into the Honda and followed the officer to the public park.

We had only gotten down two streets down when the squad car suddenly made an abrupt turn into a residential street. As we turned to follow, my father and I watched as the squad car blasted down the street to a screeching halt as a 5'4'' or so hispanic male got out of my missing car, parked in front of someone's home, and made a dash for the back yard. A quick chase and handcuffs later, we had an individual in custody.

And so began the circus. I watched as the number of squad cars and weapon yielding officers began to quickly show up in the area; searching for any more suspicious people. Ironically, I stood by my car to watch the owner of the home, that my car was dumped in front of, emerge from his house with a 9mm side arm introducing himself with "Hi I'm ________, I'm an agent with the FBI." I stood relieved that you would have to be a friggen ninja or something equivalent to get past 12 squad cars and an FBI agent before you could get to my car again.

Some time went by before the home owner decided to go into his back yard to close the gate. The officer, my father and I were standing in the front when we heard " STOP! STOP! DONT MOVE! " from the back yard. Despite having weapons drawn at him, FBI and DPD on his tail, our other suspect was able to get away. He probably isnt enjoying his hiding spot right now as it is raining pretty hard.

There is something wrong with the justice system when I, as a victim of crime, cannot do anything but watch as a 14 year old juvenile CAUGHT IN THE ACT OF A CRIME get released to go home with his relative. There was no substantial and immediate evidence that he commited the crime, he did not truely evade arrest ( he stopped when he was told to, despite taking off at first ) and ultimately, he was a minor. He cant be kept unless it was something as horrible as homocide. Sigh... So I watched, as he was taken out of hand cuffs and his relative took him home, free as a bird. Leaving behind a mess that I had worked way too hard for so long to achieve.

Another short episode of reality style CSI Dallas later on my car to find finger prints and I was left with a car with a ton of dust on a beat up car.

The car is definately salvagable. The damage wasnt as severe as I had imagined. I had some body damage, my front wheels were curbed, headlight lense missing (ironically the left one, lol my car is mocking me) and I can only hope for the best as to internal damage to the engine. Once the ECU was taken out, guess how they moved the car; yep, with another car pushing it from the rear bumper. The rear was crushed, good thing I kept that rear bumper original flexable eurethane.

I lost a lot of stuff out of the whole ordeal due to thieft. My monster change tray was taken, some hand tools, an air tank, a pocket rocket, my favorite Puma jacket and the idiots even have the kind grace to empty out my small cooler of its drinks to put it into the larger cooler and take only the large cooler. Thats just in the Durango and trailer.

My RX-7 took a bit of a bigger hit. They took my new ECU (Computer) for my car, my TV DVD radio deck, my Nintendo NES and ALL of my Photographic camera equipment. They destroyed the dash getting to the electronics. A good 10,000 dollars in losses in just my RX-7 before calculating my body damage. Even my little smiley face antenna ball in the empty guage pod, they took that too... Poor smiley, I had him for almost 5 years.

Only the Durango is insured and I dont think it will cover the cost of what was lost in the trailer and my car. I am hoping that my homeowners insurance will be able to recover something.

Yes it sucks and I appreciate everyone's support. But, hey, I got my car back. I survived blindness, a house fire, and Hurricane Katrina, a couple of bumps and bruises wont stop me. I guess all there is left to do is laugh and smile throw more money into my money pit

A lot of my neighbors woke up from the noise of the car as it drove by. Some of them thought it was a plane flying low. LOL?! Is my car THAT loud?!?

The serials for the Power FC are at home, I can post that as soon as I get a hold of the warranty card. I gotta make a list of the photo equipment as I have all of that on record as well.

Im going to make a call to the kids family that was taken into short custody. I will give him and his buddies a chance to at least redeem themselves and give me SOME of the stuff i NEED back. Otherwise, civil lawsuit...

Ill keep everyone posted.
