Here's all the track events for June that I'm aware of. Feel free to chime in if you know of more. Unfortunately I'll have my car completely taken apart and getting it ready to track again in the fall so won't be attending any of these.

June 12: Eagles Canyon Track Day DE - Eagles Canyon Raceway
June 12: BMW CCA AutoX - Texas Motor Speedway
June 19: Apex Driving - Motorsports Ranch
June 26: SCCA AutoX - Texas Motor Speedway
June 26-27: BMW CCA Race School - Eagles Canyon Raceway (they also have a regular DE portion for the event)

Cool

Signed up for the ECR BMWCCA Club Racing School and paid, so no turning back now.
Justin, better hurry up, you are falling behind.

FYI I run grid for Apex. If I ever get my 1st gen up and running I'll have it out at Apex events. In the meantime Apex has 1 event left this month on the 19th iirc and then we break for summer. Just to damn hot to be out at the track and lots of people go on vacation.

I call the flag on that, because your car is down right now.
Oh I forgot, you own an RX13 like I do.

It is $395 for the 2 intense days.
The only problem is, that you have to be in the Advanced Group at least with BMW CCA.
Or have a good track history, that they can verify, so you can get accepted to sign up.
If you sign up without permit, you will pay all the Paypal fees involved with the registration.

The regular DE weekends aren't that expensive. Anywhere from $150 a day to $300 a weekend depending on what group is running the event. as for the wife, don't really have any advice on that front.

Haha! Baron you caught me, yeah definitely need to get the car back into better condition before even thinking about doing an event. But especially after being out at the lemons race and seeing how bad they were sucking out there in the heat, there's no way i'd get out there.

Talking Harris Hill Rd. - August 21 & 22 - new fromat

Paste - from the email I got on Friday the 11th.

From Sondra Sondregger -

I have done driver's education events in the summer before, and the heat is just a beating!* I don't like standing outside all day in 105 degrees any more than you do, so I've planned a special treat: a full day of track time, condensed into a half day!* Rather than have all of the skill groups run on one day, instead we'll be doing two each day, enabling us to run a full day's worth of track time (four 22 minute sessions) by 1:00.* In addition, since we will be done around lunch time and as such we won't be providing lunch, I can pass along the discount to you!* The cost for this half day event is $155.

These half days will be taking place on August 21 and 22, with the novice and beginners taking Saturday (green and blue), and intermediate and advanced groups running on Sunday.

Registration links are below:

novice and beginner (Green and Blue: still requiring instruction or never tracked before): http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.c...AFE6BF28E0B20D

intermediate and advanced (Yellow and Red: solo certified and higher): http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.c...E2161713B90D3B

Now that summer is over I figured we needed to bring this thread back. There's several events this month. Redbaron (Robert) and myself will be doing the Drivers Edge event at MSR on Oct 23-24. Anyone else planning on doing this one?

Justin, only crickets live in this section.
If it's not a meet , drink and drive , you won't have any takers for track events.

Another Apex Driving Academy event:

Intermediate and Advanced drivers only on Saturday, November 27, 2010.
The $200 fee will get you started at 9 a.m. and you'll be finished at the track by 1 or 2 p.m. - same amount of track time as on a normal Apex day, but without the classroom sessions. We'll run on the 1.7 mile CCW track at MotorSport Ranch in Cresson, Texas.

Got the car back from RP, she's all tuned now. Robert and I will be putting the Teins on tomorrow. it's a scramble to get her ready for this weekend. Really excited to get back out on the track though and see how she feels with all the new work done. Just hoping this weather stays clear!

The R1 corner, ha! I guess I'll be starting a non-R1 group on another corner then.
