It didn't want to start last Sunday. Finally got it going and the idle was really rough. Tried to drive it down the block, but it acted like it was running super rich and putt-putt-putting.

The header cracked a few months ago. The crack is about three inches upstream of the O2 sensor.

Anyone got any ideas? If I can't get it running in the next month or so, I'm going to have to sell it.

(I am not a total idiot, but I don't profess to be a smartypants when it comes to troubleshooting)

get a new header first. the exhaust leak can make the car run like crap. then if it is putt-putt-putting i would check the oil to see if it looks like chocolate milk you might have blown a head gasket. you could also do a compression test on it and that will give you a better answer.

what year, motor, at/mt, mileage? those will help give me an idea of what you need to check.
