Las Vegas Local, car is in New Orleans

Hello everyone, I really dont know who else to ask for some help, so I guess I will come here. A few years ago, I bought a s4 T2 from someone in Baton Rouge; from there, it was moved to New Orleans area (Metairie to be exact). For a while, nothing was done to the car, but recently, things were rolling along. The motor was taken to Texas to get rebuilt, and in that time, Katrina hit New Orleans. I only know of 2 people in New Orleans, the guy that owns the shop and another guy that was supposed to help build the car. I dont know how to get to the car, or how to get ahold of the owner of the shop (I think he lost his house).

So, I guess I would like to know if any of you out here know the owner of Performance Specialists, or know where it's at. And if you do, could you just let me know (or go by there and let me know how it looks).

I feel selfish asking for this, but I dont know what the hell to do. I was only 19 when I bought that car, I invested alot of money (to me) in it, and I never have seen it in person. Now I'm 21.

I did a search on Anywho.com and came up with this.....

Performance Specialist INTL
1500 4th Street Suite J
Harvey, LA 70058

504-366-9774

I went there about a year ago. Harvey is a New Orleans 'burb on the west bank of the Miss. River.

Did you ever take physical possession of the car? How did you wind up getting involved w/ PS?

Are you talking about Hassan and Allen's shop?

This was their website, but it no longer works. http://www.performance-specialists.c...ResourceId=100

I haven't talked to them in quite some time; I used to autocross with them, but lost contact after I got out of my kart.

I called about 6 months ago to find about an engine rebuild, and they said everything was going fine. I would imagine that the store sustained quite a bit of damage from the storm.

Try calling the number that Mark posted. I thought that I had Hassan and/or Allen's cell phone numbers, but apparently, I don't. Let me check with my dad to see if he has the numbers.

Nope, I never took physical posession of the car. I bought the car from a man in Baton Rouge and BDC and Hassan were supposed to team up and work on it. That was 2 years ago. Alot of bullshit happened, between them not being available at the same time, and also one of them was having personal prolems. Hassan sold his part in that shop a while ago.

Update:
Allen sold Performance Specialists, moved to houston. He left my car there, didnt leave any keys. So now I have to beg some Real Estate goon that buoght the place not to tow my car yet. All good fun.

Wanna buy a 86 GXL T II? $200 no motor, fairly shitty shape.

that is a bizarre situation. I'm in New Orleans and looking for a cheap RX7 to use as a race car. What does it need besides engine? please email me as I'm not checking board often.
