The purpose of this thread is to coordinate everyones SSXII plans for the Southern region. I have talked to a few people who are going and I encourage everyone to add their plans here.
I am signed up to attend SevenStock XII as a vendor, and I am donating one of my TR-01 Rotary Engine Compression Testers to the raffle. A little more incentive for everyone to go now huh? I already have my hotel room reserved at the Doubletree Hotel Irvine. The last SS I went to was SSVII and I did drive all the way from Corpus Christi, TX to Irvine, CA. It was a great trip, got to meet up with a great couple in New Mexico and then finished the cruise into Irvine with the AZ RX Club. As fun as that trip is, I just don't have the time to do that drive so this year I am flying. Also, I'll be visiting a bunch of my old Navy buddies in San Diego so I plan to fly in to SD on Friday night, drive up to Irvine, attend SS on Saturday, thoroughly enjoy happy hour and the banquet that night, then drive back to San Diego on Sunday morning, spend time with the friends, and then fly back to Houston late Sunday night. I don't have my flight yet, but from looking online they are ~$225 round trip.
So, add in your plans or comments or whatever. I'm hoping to have some t-shirts made with advertisement for my compression tester on them. Anyone willing to wear an advertisement shirt for me at SS will get a free t-shirt!

But, besides that, I hopefully will be going with John. We are planning shirt designs currently. If I have anything to do with it, my shirt will be pink.

 

Might do the same and fly this year Chuck told me he is flying as well. I would be willing to wear a compression tester shirt for you john. Send me your number again Ben jumped into Galveston waters with my cell phone.

Yea me and Scott are planning on just flying there this year, that 1600 mile trip was bad ***, and there where some scary moments (Waking up with Phil driving dam near 100mph with two cars on a trailer, I just went back to bed, saying what ever)

I haven't got a flight yet either, I will start really looking soon.

I will wear a shirt but I want a white or Black, No pink for me thank you. This is CA we are talking about, pink shirt mite get you a date with someone you dont want.

Just chiming in and subscribing. I'm planning on heading out to SS this year as I missed DGRR both years I was stationed in SC, and don't plan on making the same mistake with SS. I'm up in Wichita Falls, about 2 hours northwest of DFW on 287.

Sounds like most of us are going to be flying this year. Thanks for the pics Chuck. Are Angel and I the only ones staying at the DoubleTree? T-shirts will probably be black or grey, I'm working on a design now but it's kind of plain so I'll be asking for inputs in a little while.

Good to hear Ant and Ben will both be there as well as Scott and Chuck. Angel and I will be in Irvine hopefully early on Friday and all day Saturday, but Sunday we'll be in San Diego, then flying back to Houston that evening. If some crazy good luck happens then we might be out there on Thursday. Gonna buy plane tickets very soon.
