LA insurance rates?

well im about to own the reason i got on this forum, pretty soon ill be getting an 88 vert. im 18 this will be my first car. i won't be taking out a loan so ill own it out right. it will be under my parents policy and i will just be listed as the primary driver. im with state farm and will just have liability. so i was wondering will my premium be ridiculous? i mean it seems like liability should be the same across the board since it dosen't cover you it covers everyone else. im gonna call our agent monday and see whats up. but i figured id check on here to see if it would even be worth my time, thanks guys

why dont you call or go online and get a free quote? They should be able to give you a figure of what its gonna look like, it should be much cheaper just from you owning the car and not leasing it. I don't think it will be too much, but with good driver discount, you being on your parents insurance you'll get a multi-car discount and maybe a student discount? Like I said check online or have your parents call them just to ask what it would cost.

I'd suggest taking defensive driving to lower your premium, but you should hold out on that for the inevitable ticket you will be getting. Don't want to be out of options to keep your driving record clean.
