You could build an entire car with all of the spare parts floating around among the Houston guys!

Ha, with the way things look I might have to try and do that. Everything runs great (besides the fact that its not turbo) But the body needs some work bad.

I am in houston for the week, when do you guys meet? I did'nt drive my FD here , I am from florida but it would be cool to go to a meet while I am here and meet some 7 owners. I am from sarasota and think I am the only FD there other than one but it is a stock 94 touring. I am in ponderosa off 1960 and ella I think . Not too far from 290.

The Car is finally back at home with it's rightful owner after much much headbutting with a certain mechanic.

I gave it a cleaning.

It's a 90 Vert with a Jspec S5 13BT motor.
I live over by Copperfield HWY 6

A certain mechanic ehy? Maybe you should let everyone in on the story so others don't fall prey to the same fate.

I would keith, but I just don't defame others. Let's just say the car sat in a garage for 3.5 years (i'm super patient), with the intention of a TurboII swap, bought a Front clip and had it shipped to his shop, paid him half the labor, and the only thing he did was drop both motors and had ppl steal parts off of my clip and vert. I'm missing so many parts, it ain't even funny. He even tried to do a mechanics lien on me and take my car.

Unfortunately, I'm very passive (i.e. no *****) so I let it go.

Current problem: He has my motor "stuck" on a shelf.

PM me for details.

I want to go to the quad state bbq, to look for a good mechanic (i just don't have time) and have them work on the FC, but man, that's hella far.

Sad to think it's been sitting like this for almost 4 years.

Understood and I respect your response.

Personally, I just want to keep others from making the same/similar mistake. If this is a bad person to do business with it would be in my opinion a service to warn others in the rotary community (especially if he is a "rotary" mechanic).

PS: It's only defamation if you intend to harm the reputation of one by use libel or slander. Facts are greater than opinion in this type of situation. Just keep it honest and you'll be fine. I've been through a similar situation.

He no longer works on rotaries. He actually made this decision about 3 years ago. Two others that I know took their cars there, (a S4 non-turbo and a Datsun 510 coupe) wanting to do a similar swap, pulled out because of the lack of work done. I stuck it out however. The poor decision to keep it there was my fault, but no worries, he will no longer work on 7's. He even swapped out his own 13BT for a Ford Cobra motor, lol.

Maybe one day when the car is done, I will write about my misfortunes with this particular mechanic.

Hey FD guys. I have some gaskets laying around.

I was moving some boxes around in my Garage and found some parts sitting in a box. These are brand new still in the package parts.

#N3A1-13-111C Lower Intake Manifold Gasket. $29.15 from Mazda

Upper intake Manifold Gasket $15.00 from Mazda.

#N386-15-162 Waterpump housing to front housing gasket. $3.25 from Mazda.

Misc Copper and Rubber washers/gaskets come with it also. These are the parts to go along with the Waterpump housing gasket.

Im only Asking $40 bucks or best offer for everything.
