i just bought my first rx7 and i would like to have a local houston meet somewhere with a large parking lot and a place that we might be able to eat any sugestions and also who would like to meet up

 

We meet the first Tuesday of every month, come back often and you'll see the post. We've been favoring Freebirds off Sheppard and some pizza place on the west side.

 

There is no meeting planned for July, because the first Tuesday falls on the 4th.

 

lame ... let's move it the second week in July

 

im ok for that i hope more than three guys show up

 

The club always invites folks to setup events so you can start a new thread and host the event. Pick a place with a good parking lot and cross post it to the Houston rotary forum. Search and you'll find the last club meeting post to see what info is typical for an event.

 

Kyle is right.. if the effort is there and even a shred of organization is put into the meeting I am willing to get behind it. We are working on Saturday meetings for both July and August.

Details should be final this weekend. (I've been killed at work and home, and I don't have too much help planning these events.)

well guys ive been part of houston rx7 club for a while and never been to a meeting and its time for me to go!!!!! well i just recently jsut bought a new member to my family to complete my trio, and its a 82gsl rx7, its in pretty good shape, including the body and the engine, its has 712xxx original miles and the engine has never been rebuilt and it still runs strong. i bought it from the original owner and for $300.. so i wonder if i got a deal !!!! lololol.. and now im selling an 85 gsl-se so il defenetly be there on the next meeting

 

so the question is now where and when are we going to meet????????

Most of the actual club meetings are held in or around the Loop 610 area with a high concentration of the meetings in the SouthWest Freeway/59 corridor.

 

Some body call it, place and time. My 7 is not running but I'll likely bring the Speed6.

 

well i spoke to the Houston rx7 president and he had a great idea ! he said to do it next week bc its going to be raining all week and next weekend its going to be pretty good weather and plus more people would show up and we can even take a nice lil drive..
so what do u guys think, i think DRkilljoy has a great idea

could we meet next tuesday, at about 6 at fuddruckers on 59 by the lakewood church? and one more thing, could we have an astros game meet or a bowling meet sometime before the end of the year?

 

thats not bad of an idea , even though im a WHITE SOX FAN ( hehehhe , sorry im born and raised in chicago) but guys, i really want to make my lil 7 even faster, im thinking about either i port it or turbo charge it!!! but we can talk about that at the meeting
