HORSE COUNTRY LOOP RALLY

Texas Region SCCA RoadRally Series
Start and Finish in Denton, Texas, at Exit 470 of I-35 (I-35 and Loop 288). We will gather in the parking lot on the southeast corner, near the Good Eats Restaurant.
Each entry requires a licensed driver with proof of auto insurance, a navigator, a clipboard or other hard writing surface, and a pen/pencil. No previous rally experience is required. The entrant’s experience determines the class declared (First Timer, Novice, General, or Master). Minor children (under 18) must have a signed release from BOTH parents.
The event will introduce rallyists to the concept of maintaining average speed. The course will be run at any legal speed the entrants choose. There will be at least one hidden checkpoint on the course where the time of each passing entry will be recorded. After lunch the course is run again. This time you will attempt to match your time of the morning run. Checkpoints will again record the time of passing entrants. One penalty point will be assessed for each second’s variance of the morning run, with the lowest score winning. (There will be time for lunch between runs at Good Eats. We will also gather there after the event for refreshments and awards.)

Entry fee: $25 per car for pre-registering; $30 at the event,for SCCA members, $30 and $35 for non-members. Pre-register online at http://www.dlbracing.com/clubs/texas...x?EventID=2787 . Create an account, then follow the instructions to register for the event. You will be able to register for future rallies without entering your personal or vehicle information again.

Road Rally in Denton this weekend
Thanks for posting info on our rally, cpa7man.
One change: preregistration is open until noon Friday.
And anyone who knows Denton knows where Loop 288 and I-35 is. But It's NOT THERE! It's a few miles north at Exit 470, the intersection of I-35 and Loop 288 North. Don't get lost before the event even starts!
