Hey guys i'm planning on driving down to Austin for HIN this year and I'm in Wichita Falls about 2 hrs north-west of DFW and I will be headed through DFW on the way and was gonna see if there was any interest from the OKC or DFW members in meeting up and cruising down. I'd probably leave the 10th get a hotel hang out in Austin for a day and hit up HIN that night. Let me know if anybodys interested I just think it would be sick to have a shitload of RXs all show up at once.

Well as of right now the plan on my end is to leave my place around 10a or so hit dfw around noon maybe meet up with any dfw guys interested in going have a little meet and grab lunch or something. After that head out around 2 or 3 hit Austin around 4 or 5 swing by the hotel drop our **** off then meet up with the Austin guys for a meet grab dinner then see what there is to do in Austin on a Friday night. The show won't start untill 4pm or so but I have to head in early to pick up my press pass and get some set up shots. But after that I'm pretty much open for anything till the show. I will probably head home Sunday morning it's still a few months away so if anyone has any ideas let me know

Oh yea btw I'm covering the show for DropJawMag so if everything goes well I'll get the cruise/mini meets along the way covered too. And I'll have my rebel with me if anybody wants shots of their cars

 

Anybody know a good place to grab lunch in DFW? Or a good place to stay in Austin the guys from here are probably going to be staying at the Hilton on 6th street or the south park omni. Any ideas guys?

HIN is April 11th but I need/want to cruise down on the 10th and I'm trying to get this set up early enough so people can get off work, school, etc. I'm hoping this can be a big thing and hopefully become a huge Texas meet in Austin.

 

Hey guys just got a good deal on one of the hiltons on 6th st. 86 a night if you book 21 days in advance. I used hotels.com Reviews are ok but 86 is really good for anything downtown espeially a Hilton.

 

So it looks as of right now we've got maybe 3 guys down for the cruise and 2 meeting up in Austin??? I thought dfw had a big group of rxs where are they? Haha

 

I want to go...I guess its just a matter of finishing by then.

 

I'd love to go, but I need to diagnose some things first.... not building any boost. Its bad enough the car is 99% stock, I don't need the added embarrassment of being turbo-less
Its still over a month away.... hopefully I'll have a plan figured out. Sounds like a blast though!

Hey man I know you probably have some good friends that can help you with it, but if you need any extra help you can contact my buddy Andrew (Andrizzanizz). Hes had more problems with his Vert, his TII, and weve both fixed/restored our buddies 10th untill he decided to sell it, so I doubt theres a boost problem he hasn't come across, and he might be able to help you. Hope you get it fixed!Theres also a FC grave yard in some guys back yard here in Wichita (I think its called 915 or something, he might be on here), so let me know if you need any parts and Ill see if he has it. Hope you get it fixed in time!

I will be there on thursday or by Friday morning to roll in. At the least, the retired blue FD is making an appearance to support the rest of the team. So it looks like I will be there way before anyone else. But definately look for me and say hi as its rare I see any rotary folk out at these types of events.

 

Depending on when some things happen IRL, I'll either be leaving from Altus, OK ('bout an hour north of Wichita Falls) or I'll already be in Austin. If I'm leaving from Altus, I'll be looking to meet up with RotorDream and whoever else is leaving from Falls and caravaning down with you all.

 

Just wanted to see how everyone is coming making plans to go or not. I thought I saw something on here about another meet in Austin on the 11th if that's true then sweet I hope we can meet up with them while were down there. Still not sure where exactly were gonna stop along the way but I do know somewhere on the fort worth side of dfw will be where were probably gonna stop for lunch and most likely take a break in Decatur and either Waco or just south of it. Hopefully everyone will be able to make it and maybe some of the guys from that other meet can cruise down with us!
