Thank you sir! I must say that it was very hard work but after looking at the results it does feel good to see such a unique car back on its glory!

Thanks! I hope you get it done! I plan to do the same to my but first I want to make sure the right motor is in the car (S4 or S5 turbo motor) before I start messing with it.

It's a long process if you want to do it right.Tearing everything apart is no problem, put it back together another story!

Heh, no doubt! I discovered that when I pulled the engine out of my '70 Cutlass, then decided to clean and repaint the front end of the frame and suspension, engine compartment, etc since the engine was out, and disassembled the whole front end to do so. Fun keeping track of what went where, especially while trying to clean and paint all the smaller bits.
Now the stupid engine compartment looks way better than the rest of the car...

For that matter, the SA's engine compartment looks better than the outside. First thing I do to most cars I acquire is to wash and degrease under the hood, since I hate working on dirty, oily stuff if I can avoid it. On older cars, the paint under the hood tends to be in better shape due to being out of the sun. A little scrubbing, and it's pretty nice.
The '79 is down with a popped 12A at the moment. I figure it'll get an FC 13B at least if I'm going to go to the trouble of pulling and dropping in another engine. The turbo will likely come later.
I think I may try fitting an FC front cradle and suspension, like someone else has done here on this forum.

nicely done! you have a very clean car. i got a chance to check it out at freebirds the other night. great work! it was nice meeting you by the way. i was the one asking about your ignition modificatioin. i might need some advise on how to convert (get rid of) the fusable links to a fuse box like yours. i think it cleans up the engine bay. awesome car!
