So someone tell me to give them a challenge....so here goes....


Im challenging La_rotaria to an engine build....a challenge...

Lets build a horizontally opposed 4..a flat 4, a boxer...the easiest one...

A type 1 volkswagen motor....my house. We give tinman a set amount of cash, he selects two comparable cores from a junkyard and we do this...tear down, clean, reassemble, and we run them until they go boom. Longest (mine in all sense of the word) running engine wins.

Loser (you, la_rotaria) wears a rainbow bumper sticker on ur car and repays cost of motor to winner. We'll set cost at no higher than $100.

Ill be nice and lend you my tools cuz i know u cant build a motor with a dollar store screwdriver.



So the question remains....will La_rotaria accept the challenge before her/him/it? A challenege requested by same person??? Well...???

 

I'll supply you with tools...except for a 14mm open end and socket....u got no use for them...

Just incase you say any motor can last over 40000 miles with only 9 psi, your motor with all its mods, 12 psi(which you can prob fart the 3 psi diff between our motors because of your loose ***) and efi lasted no more than 3000 miles before you had to rebuild it once again. Did I do my rebuild myself....nope. But I would rather pay somebody to do it right the first time then pay for all the soft parts that are required to build these motors ever 3 months. So I accept your challenge, but you’re providing all the funds the purchase the blocks...winner still pays the looser 100 bills.
