I'm still going. Rxie got introduced to the rain a couple of weeks ago. Can't protect him from it any longer.

Someone bringing sprinkles?

I prob come out, but idk about the typical (high speed) "cruise." Roads may be too wet for my balding tires. I'll decide on the drive out there...

So how'd it go? My wife's grandmother's 90th B-day party was Sat evening. It rained over in Ft. Worth - how about Irving?

I was in Grapevine, a few miles from the meet, and I had convinced my bro-in-law and dad to cruise out there in my bro-in-law's Si but then my sister called and their daughter had locked her keys inside his house and they couldn't get in so we traveled all the way back to South Arlington, TELLING them we were on our way, and they had left by the time we got there and didn't call or text or anything. So we left and started heading for Top Golf in Dallas... I think that place would be a fun cruise spot.... if anyone else likes golf. Got mini golf, a double decker driving range with RFID golf ***** so the range can track your hits and score you points if you want to play any of their golf games, food, karaoke, alcohol, batting cages.......

I'm going to take full responsibility for us not being there, Mar3. I was ready to get out of the rain (no umbrella and open-toed shoes) so once it was decided where we were going I hopped in Rxie and was ready to go. Sorry to all. Didn't mean to rush anything or leave anyone behind.

I second that! I need the sun! The place is starting to resemble Kirkland, WA, and I could only tolerate 8 months of that place because the sun was gone so much.

I'll pay more attention to changing plans next time and make sure I say "No!" to any last minute requests coming from relatives for the next meet. Why does everyone always wait til the last minute and ALWAYS pick the first Saturday of the month for moving requests?!

How do they know???

I'm for a cruise, if it is an actual cruise, and not an all out top speed run/race.

Yeah, the silver 1st gen is mine. It's still a work in progress! This was the second meet/greet that it's been to and we hope to become a regular fixture at these events. I do not know next month's schedule yet, but November is NOT looking good for me (Too much on the calendar already)

Then you are not talking about an RX7 cruise

I'm always up for suggestions in between monthly meets if anyone wants to get together. At least you people (yeah you people) recognize what kind of car I'm driving. I was asked the other day in the grocery store parking lot if my Ford Probe got decent gas mileage.

lol, wut?

You have no idea... we used to have crazy "cruises", but I wouldn't call them casual, enjoyable cruises, though. No offense, but speeding around is just asking for trouble and it, in a way, makes our group look and seem irresponsible and somewhat disrespectful. But, if that's your thing, go for it. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I'm down for a get together between the monthly meets.
