^^^
6.3: Why Am I Upside-Down? Rule: You're upside-down because you have no business being out on a racetrack. Any driver who puts a car on its roof is out for the rest of the season, beginning immediately. Any car that rolls during a race will be removed from the race.
I'm out until January 1 next year.
LeMons HQ went one step beyond and disqualified the RX2 from any future LeMons competition.

Sorry to get this thread all off track.....time to get it back on the rails.
So I talked to Rick today and I guess when they originally evaluated my submission they put me in the wrong group. After chatting about what I wanted to get out of the course he thinks (and I agree) that I can benefit greatly by starting in the Green group. Woot woot! Looking forward to it!

Just a bit of a follow-up, this event was by far the most fun I have ever had on-track at MSRH. When I originally signed up I was a bit worried about how much actual time we were going to have on track and after this weekend I can say that is not a concern at all. I've had hours on track at MSRH doing LeMons races and honestly I learned more before lunch on Saturday at this event than I ever did at LeMons. Nothing against LeMons, there's just a massive difference between "track time" and "quality track time", especially for someone new to the track racing scene like me. The Drivers Edge event was worth every penny (and then some) and I fully expect to participate in as many of their events as I can afford!
Big thanks to Stephen for having the idea to try this and I'm sure he will post up here soon as well. Seeing that gorgeous red FD on track practically brought a tear to my eye!
Now a couple pics, for those of you that aren't friends with me on FB (losers).

^^^ What is FB? Must be one of those Homo VW Things.
Anyhoo, LeMons only has two races scheduled for the Gulf region next year. Of course we are going to race Road America too (brrrrrr Wisconsin in November).
WHO has interest in racing this next April?
Chihuahua Express
^^^ I'm going to be driving and navigating. The team I was picked up by is racing a '63 Barracuda.
Anyone else raced this or interested?
Is this worthy of a new thread?

Had an absolute blast, I'm hooked. Already signed up for the event January 26-27 same track. Spots still open but filling fast rotards!
I am still in green group for next go round, I imagine John will be in blue or yellow so come on out and enjoy the weekend. 3+ hours of track time, lots of valuable classroom time and very helpful instructors. Even got to go for a ride in a spec miata
Driver's Edge is the best way to learn how to hit the track.
Will post videos as soon as my new computer arrives and can properly edit before throwing on YouTube.
