DFW Rx7 meet anyone?
Just wondering who's all going, I don't bring my car out much, but looking forward to getting out there tomorrow night. Guessing I'll be there around 7:30 since no one showed up until about that time when I last went. Hope to see some of you guys out there!

the meet is located at MacArthur Blvd? The address is posted somewhere, but it starts at 8pm. It's the parking lot right behind Mcdonalds and next to Cheddars.
I live somewhat near Hulen Mall if you were wondering sebax.
Just found a better address
635 & MacArthur BLVD in the parking lot behind Cheddar's/McDonald's
And its 8pm from what I saw, I was thinking 7pm, but i'll show at 7:30 and see if anyone is there.

Oh didn't realize you live that close lol, I live right off Sycamore. Never really see any other 7's around this area. I have been told there was another fd though, could that be you?

I never really see FD's around here either, just about over a month I saw a red one driving by McCart just before South Hills High School. I might try to make it to the next DFW meet, we can probably meet up and cruise from here.

I want to get out to that track, but can't afford the one time fee yet. I think its like a 3k one time fee, and 90 a month, something like that. Don't have that type of cash yet, but would be nice to get out there. Do you know if they do any days where they let people on the track for a fee?

There are 4 organizations, that hold HPDS, that will put you on the track with an instructor and as you advance, eventually you will drive SOLO.
Joining MSR is the biggest waste of money.
I have 3 friends that were members and after the fever wore out they inactivated the membership.
I have added up the 8 years I have been running with these organization, plus gas, plus hotel stay and food and don't even add to the cost of membership.
Plus the fun being in the track and passing others cars has no price.
Look up for these events on the MSR calendar:
The Driver's Edge- well run, 2 days, high side price $300's, but too many cars on the track, they also do other tracks in Texas
Apex Academy- based in MSR least expensive, low$200's, 1 day, well run and limited amount of cars, for me is the best because you get more track time in one day
BMWCCA- they run a great event, but only twice a year, well priced high $200's
moderate cars
PCA- from the Porsche Club, but now you have to be a PCA member in order to run in their events, low to mid $300's, well run, but bunch of snobs.
Better review of the above with links (go to post #22):

Good stuff, i'll keep that in mind. Currently redoing my whole suspension, and I'm automatic, so plan to convert to manual as well. After that I plan to try and head out to some of these events.

You can come out to the meet this Saturday, it's held the first Saturday of every month. I think I posted the location in thread already. Last turnout was great with about 20 rx7 out there, I'm guessing there, but it was a lot. Come out and meet new people, I'll come out if I'm not too busy.

Well just 2 people showed up, and we drove out there together lol. Still had a good time chatting, I figured not many would show up with the rain, but it really wasn't too bad. Hopefully next time weather will be better.

It's the first Saturday of every month, location is posted in this thread. Come out and you'll meet quite a few people as long as the weather holds up. I'm down to come out in my FD rain or snow
