Mike used to make the commute with dumped headers on his v8 FD and never ran into any problems..... even though we could hear him coming a mile away

Yeah, but my old-school Olds V8 doesn't sound nearly as cool with open headers as an LSx.
Then there's the whole license, inspection, insurance lacking thing...
