I should be there, but in the big ol' '70 Cutlass, since my '79 is still broked, and I haven't had any luck getting Tessai's former GXL operational, which is annoying me because I'm losing the 2nd-gear clutches in the Cutlass' automatic. Anybody got the hookup for transmission rebuilds? I'd like a 200-4R overdrive if I have to replace it...

Big Amellican car transmission going boom. Want better one to replace. :P
Basically, the who-knows-how-old 3-speed automatic tranny in the Cutlass is slipping in second gear, and I'd like to replace it with a more modern 4-speed overdrive automatic. I'd really like to replace it with a 5- or 6-speed overdrive manual, but that can get expensive quick.

Don't think I'll be able to make it fellas. Got some hot plans that night and I also need to replace the clutch master cyl. Why does RP sell em for $80 and I found a Beck/Arnley new online for $40 + 8 s/h?

probably cause they have a better oem replacement and they will also work with you if you still have problems with it.

Hmmm, sounds too much like opinion to me on it being a better replacement. I know some things you def need to go to Mazda for, e.g. thermostat, but a 100% markup seems a little excessive for a part. IDK. I'll let you guys know when/if it starts to fail. Thank god I don't have an FD (not saying I wouldn't just LOVE to have one) ....i don't know what you guys do for a living to afford all the goodies that go with 3rd gens. Slowly but surely, my "to-do" list for the FC is shrinking....
