DFW RX-7 May 1, 2010 Meet
Nice meet, the weather turned out great. The Skyline was awesome, can't wait to see Matt's FD prowling the streets. Sounds like it's going to be pretty badas...! Good seeing/meeting everyone.
No...it's "y'all" with just one "a"...but you get an A for effort in trying to assimilate and also an A+ for bravery for deciding to move where you did. Get that CHL as fast as you can.

I was thinking of "hosting" our RX-7 GTG at my house for the June meet. I supply the burgers, pool and hot tub - you supply the chips and drinks. Plenty of parking and located in the mid-cities. What say ye rotary fans??? Feedback???

Coo
I'm staying near downtown Dallas. Drove to Dallas early April in my S4 TurboVert, so it's now my daily. Was at the last meet, but will be in Austin first Saturday of June. So, see yah in July if not sooner.
Thanks for the heads up on Kincaids. I'll check out the one in Arlington later this week.
Seven Stock is set for September. So I'd certainly take you up on the ride if you're going.

Dallas stock may just go up a notch if this happens:

In-N-Out burger chain expanding?
The joint with a cult following is growing slowly, but could still teach McDonald's and Burger King a thing or two.

Consider it the Apple (AAPL) of burger chains. And it could be coming to a location near you.
In-N-Out Burger, a privately held West Coast fast-food chain with a rabid and almost cultlike following, has been slow to expand beyond California because of its rather unusual business practices . But the In-N-Out philosophy has also resulted in unmatched popularity that has current locations swamped. The only thing to do is open more stores.
And if the rumor mill has any truth to it, the next In-N-Out Burger location is due for Dallas -- a sign that the company may be reaching eastward and looking to take a bite out of McDonald’s (MCD), Burger King (BKC) and other fast-food stocks.
In-N-Out is a bit of an anomaly in today’s fast-paced fast-food world. The company focuses on fresh ingredients, and cuts its french fries every day before dipping them in hot oil to order. It also treats its staff as valued employees and not just as more part-time meat for the grinder.
………
To be clear, Burger King and McDonald’s shouldn’t worry about their Texas sales evaporating just yet. In-N-Out execs have acknowledged eyeing the Dallas suburb of Garland for a restaurant, but have not made any clear commitments or offered specifics.
Regardless of where In-N-Out opens next, the big burger chains could learn a thing or two from this slow-growing company that has succeeded by putting high quality, happy employees and loyal customers above all else.

D Magazine seems to be a little more sure about it:

Uh oh - the 24 Hours of LeMons is that weekend, out at Decatur. Last I looked, we've got at least two teams form RX7Club in the race.
Perhaps we should convene out there and cheer them on?

In-N-Out Burger Comes to Dallas: Details Developing

I reached Maxwell Fisher, the city of Garland employee who worked with the developer of the soon-to-open In-N-Out Burger at Firewheel Town Center in Garland. When he answered his phone, I asked him if he was at the prospect of working on such a grand project. “Aren’t you excited?” I asked.
“I don’t know, I’m kind of a food snob,” he says. “I’ll probably be disappointed. But, we’ll see.”
Fisher said the city has been working has been working with the developer for “some time. At least since February or January.” The plans were approved by the Garland City Council on Tuesday, May 18. The In-N-Out will be on the southeast corner of Town Center Blvd. and Lavon Drive. And according to Fisher’s best guess they will begin moving dirt this summer. When I asked if there were other locations planned for Garland he said, “No not here but they plan to add about 5 more to the area.”
