BTW, did anyone know that an S5 runs *great* without a TPS? I finally figured out my 2000 RPM fuel-cut problem when it did it again recently, and I spotted the low-speed TPS getting stuck in the idle position. I couldn't make it stop sticking, which meant that the ECU thought that the engine was still at idle and wouldn't feed any fuel despite the throttle opening, so I unplugged the TPS completely. Other than a low idle speed (~500 RPM) and a check-engine light, it runs great. Better off-idle, in fact, (less hesitation/stumble) though that may have been a related issue to the sticky TPS. Eventually I'll swap in a fresh TPS, but for a field-expedient fix, it works.

Ak is cold. DFW doesnt have sh*t on us Anchorage rotar heads!

 

Only 3 things I know about Ak.
1-Largest state (chunk of ice with oil)
2-Sara Palin (good thing)
3-Deadliest Catch filmed there (awesome!!!)
Not really known for fast rotaries, unless they are in a snow mobile.

very well. We get in tomorrow at like 430 so I should make it to my house around 6. Wanna come by? There are a few of Heather's friends coming over to hang out with her but nobody wants to play with me. lol. Dad is actually under it right now. He just put in the boost controller, Wide band, and turbo timer. He also fixed some other junk that was wrong with the car... minor electrical issues, oil pan leak, exhaust bolts missing and loose, broken motor mount, vacuum mess!, and the rear end made a funny "clunk". turns out that it was just the aftermarket trailing links were loose and had no washers under anything. Everything is pretty much done with it for now.

You should come by after work or something. I live in poetry. Its only 15 mins from quinlan. We are going to play with the Power FC tomorrow evening too. Im sure its got a crappy tune. The old owner took decent care of the exterior but everything else kind of went to ****. It should all be good now though. Ill pm you my number. I land at 430 in the afternoon.
