Just a little less than 2 weeks from now, May 7th, will be our next meet. We're going to meet in the usual place: Cheddars parking lot at I-635 and McCarther, and the usual time: 8pm. All the regulars and new comers are welcome.

We actually have a pretty big gathering this time. Right now we have 32 confirmed rotaries...Visit the registration page (click on sig) at the bottom and you can see the breakdown of the cars that will be there. Would be great if you guys could make it.

 

so is there a full bar at this thing, and what are the clubs like?

 

From past events we have seen that bars and performance cars don't mix very well. So no alcohol at our meet. However, we will provide food and drink.

The meet takes place from 10am-4pm and for that part of it, it's pretty much over. there will be a cruize in there too. But for the people who are left over and actually do want to go out, we will go check out what the town has to offer in the vampire hours.

 

how do you have an rx7 meet with out alcohol? it cant be that bad, after all the beer is watered down in OK. has alot less alcohol in it then the beers in texas.
whats the cruise like, lot of racing?

Easy, we've done it quite a bit with great success.

there are 3 of us organizing everyting...Im not dealing with the cruize so I really don't know but its kinda hard to "race" when you have 35+ rx7s in caravan.

This may be true...everything is bigger in Texas anyway

So far we have 35 people registered and the tentative schedule for that day is

10-12: meet & greet
12-1:30: Lunch
1:30 - 2:00: Raffle Prizes
2:00 - 2:30: Awards
2:30 - 4:00: Cruise

For people who come in the night before, we are going to Tulsa Raceway Park...For people who are left over from the BBQ and still in town, we are headed to hit the clubs....Again, not my thing so one of the other party people in the group who's helping the planning.

We have one person flying in from Canada for this and then one driving from Iowa. So it should be pretty fun.

 

so in other words we should bring our own beer from texas?

Yeah, it should be fun. we have Gotham Racing sponsoring us along with Tulsa Dyno...so you have an opportunity to win some cool **** with the raffle.

Yes, Cheddars as usual tomorrow evening. I won't be able to make it though, I'm going to be autocrossing all day Saturday and will be pretty beat afterwards. Can someone else take some pictures and post them up??
