I think they might still be doing the mineral wells thing. I had a friend that always used to go.
But we should try and start something.
By the way ibeking...I just moved to dallas.
Are you guys going to the dfw rx7 meet on 3.1.08?

thats good, last time I went out there they only let you do one lap at a time then you had to wait in a line. this sounds much better, I might even bring a set of slicks and run a session of hot laps

You get one lap at a time, but there is no limit to the number of laps take all day. You wait in line after the lap.

most people that go dont want to blow their motor so after 1 or 2 laps they stop to let their car cool down. plus the place is big enough to make 2 tracks maybe even 4!!

why would you blow your motor after 2 laps?
the place is big enough, make a pit lane and set it up like a track. if people thing their motors are about to blow, very simple...just pit!
how much does it cost to rent that place? I may sponsor an event, free for all, just so it can finaly be done right

If you are so concerned about laps you should really look into an MSR membership. Its not that expensive.

I am out at MSR every other weekend.
but its not a very good track for drifting, $2k is not that bad for mineral wells, I may have to look into that, whos interested
