This Day in History
On June 19, 1999 the Dallas Stars won their only Stanley Cup in franchise history defeating the Buffalo Sabres 2-1 in Game #6 of the final series. Controversy surrounded the Cup-winning goal scored by Brett Hull in triple overtime as he appeared to have the toe portion of his skate in the crease prior to scoring.
Two future Leafs hoisted hockey's greatest prize at the Marine Midland (now HSBC) Arena that evening. Goalie Ed Belfour notched 16 victories in the post-season while Joe Nieuwendyk was named the winner of the Conn Smythe Trophy, finishing with six game-winning goals in the playoffs.
Here's to hoping Hockey is coming back soon.

Yeah, penaltybox.com has a lot of good articles about them almost reaching a deal.
The Stars with no Modano? Who would you go to watch?
Clinton are you up for playing in a league perhaps this fall/winter? My friend Jason and I are thinking 'bout it.

Last time we went it was pretty good.
We usually go the the Arena in Richardson. So that might be the house-league we'll be playing in. We'll talk about getting on with a team(I just hope I can find time between work, and school in the fall).
I think it's like $12 for 2.0 hours of time for drop-in. SInce I've been a beer-guzzling, lazy-no-excersizing *** for the past year, I plan on hitting it once a week, probably during Lunch-drop in.

Just shoot me an email or PM once you figure out when you wanna play!
Thanks,
David
Oh yeah, and to keep the thread on track, I am LOVING the FSN re-runs of the 99 cup Finals victories! I was at game 2 of the Finals, and Reunion Arena was ROCKING!

Cool thanks for the replies. Sometimes we've done Sunday night drop-in. It's usually around 10:00. But usually has a good turnout of players and last time had 4-goalies.
