crap for rain! what to do?
well, it's autox day and it is my first event all year; unfortunately it is supposed to rain ... real bad too. my rx sucks in the wet since the hoosiers are for dry and the street tires are cheap.
my audi is quattro and has great tires and i will be so dry.
which car do i take, the 7 is so much fun and fast, but not so much in the rain.
ahhhhh! i don't want to beat on the a4 but i need some cash and it puts me in DS instead of SMII

well, i had a blast in the A4 in the rain, the quattro really does well in the wet. i ended up 1st in DS with a time of 38.7xx and i was 20th in the pax out of 59. not bad for first time of the season and first autox in the audi, all runs were on street tires.
i ran early in the grouping and by the time the ss and faster classes went out, the track was drying out and the times were dropping drastically. i believe that all top 10 pax placers were run in the afternoon, after the rain stopped falling.
sorry to my 7, next time i take you ...

25 seconds into this vid there might be a large silver sedan attending its first autocross event. Traction and stability control were off for this one

Just this once for fun.
We got there with the B-Mod car and decided that running an open cockpit, open wheel car in rain that was going to soak us the entire time was not something we were looking forward to. That was all the excuse I needed to wring the 300C out one time

yes, it was quite fun. i'm looking forward to texas motor speedway. 7racer, i have not taken the 7 out this year, i plan on taking it to tms though. there is now a miata that, according to its driver, pulls 1.5 g's in the turns, who is racing in sm2 now. he seems like a good driver and i guess he's been at it awhile. his car is primer gray. he's in the video at about 1.45, i'm at about 2.20
other than him, i don't know who has been in sm2. you gonna come out again? i miss that beautiful car of yours.

Something needs to be recalibrated then No offense to the driver or the car but it doesn't have that ability. It typically runs times slower than the stock Miatas in CS. Like many beginners he's probably a little over zealous about the performance of the car.
