I think no one from CC has replied because they dont have electricity yet

+'s for living in CC :

RIGHT on the coast

fishing

boating

selena statue

replicas of the nina, pinta and the santa maria

Texas state aquarium

a WWII carrier/museum (pretty cool if like that kinda stuff, at least 5 hours to look around at everything)

home town of whataburger

a gas refinery outside of town (prices arent lower though in CC area )

CC and surrounding areas are DEAD in winter

CC "Hooks" (AA baseball team)

if your worth a few million buck, the townspeople would probably give you gift baskets and their daughters and give you the title of "(Your Name here), King of CC". Im kidding there are a couple very rich pockets around CC, quite a few weekend homes for rich san antonio people

if you leave CC and your new town sucks, you will be able to say "well at least its not CC "

-'s to living in CC :
hot & humid
no winter
almost always windy
flat terrain
CC is a dump and not too clean (sorry CC people but you know its true)
water is dirty
beaches are almost always covered in seaweed ****/jellyfish/fish/etc. (that area of the gulf is the toilet bowl of the gulf of mexico)
saltwater=rusty cars
few people there have more than 10 teeth (i dont know why this is though???)
nearest "big town" is probably 2 hours away
huge numbers of tourists/college punks during the summer time

theres a lot more to both lists (well probably 1 or 2 more +'s, the -'s are probably limitless). I will say CC is really growing and getting more cash flow. just the other day i saw a billboard here in san antonio about a 300k+ housing community.

LOL, Leaving Maryland so soon. I grew up down south of Corpus in Kingsville. Corpus is pretty nice. I like South Padre anyway.

Yeah Maryland is nice, but on the way here I got a job offer at the ARMY DEPOT down there I dont think I can refuse. More money, Benefits, retirement in 13 years, etc...

Even if Corpus sucks which I have heard mixed things on it, much like Maryland, but you can live in nice places just outside of Corpus though correct? I mean I saw some kickass houses for about $200,000 4 years old and just beautiful houses, lawns etc..... Are there places like this outside the city?

In Texas, some of the best housing developments are just outside the outskirts of the cities.

Well im here in Corpus now for 3 months. I think its pretty nice.... Im on SPID, some of the nicest people I have ever met have been down here.

Beach blows unless you want to just drive on it.
Shopping--Not for me but the wife is just below PAR
Better drivers then most states, but still they suck..
I like the cool breeze, never really feels all nasty. (YET)

No way, no LSI for me, I did 6months at DynCorp that was enough contracting for me. I know alot of people that work for them though that want to get up to Austin, you offering?

I think corpus is pretty nice. I pay a little more for rent to live in a nice area so I think its nice. Lots of nice people and some school chicks for eye candy.. I cant complain though....Since im close to Airline on the southside, I think its nice. They got just about all the places you need to eat and ***** like that. Im not into partying much anymore and its 100000000000000 times better then Southern MD.

Yeah the BLUFF is a **** pit..

What beach you wanting to go to? Port A? If so they are almost all right near the beach, but on the beach you may want a townhouse/condo.
