That is one great man that will be missed dearly. All he loved to do was meet with the guys, be with his family and friends and live the life of a rotary nut. R.I.P. Mark, you will be missed.

Thumbs up

Mark will always be remembered throughout the rotary community as one of the most generous individuals and a Passionate Rotary Enthusiast. His intellect and character touched us all in many ways and we'll never forget his contributions to the rotary community. Mark and Cydney White always opened their home to all of the LA Rotary Community where many great relationships were formed and where many great memories will live on forever.

He was a true inspiration to us all the way he handled his bout with ALS. Mark had the greatest spirit and was always upbeat whenever we saw him. Mark also coined many great phrases such as holy "ratfuck" and lived for shooting "flammage" out of his massive exhaust can

His wife Cydney and great friends supported him to his last days and we admire them for their strength and love. Thanks to Jonathan, Barry Bordes and all those family and friends who were very close to Mark til the end.

Let's honor this Great Man and Rotary Enthusiast ! Rotor On Marky Mark !!!

Ted / all:

I am so sorry to hear of Mark's passing. I'm Curtis, Shawn's Dad. He just called me to tell me the sad news. I only met Mark once, at last year's Ferrari event at NPR. My friend, Johnny Houghtaling, took Mark for a ride in his 360 Challenge car. There was no misunderstanding the look in Mark's eyes when he came in after several fast laps - he LOVED cars. We didn't speak; didn't have to. His eyes told me everything I needed to know about him. It was also a great joy for Johnny to have Mark ride shotgun with him. Mark had many good friends with him that day that brought him to the event. The care that you all expressed for him was unselfish and obvious to all there. He was a lucky guy to have friend's like y'all. Remember the good times. That's all we have.

Shawn has many more photos of Mark at home; several from that day at NPR. We'll try to get them up as soon as possible to share some of the happy times with his firends.

I think we need to have a salute cruise in honor of Mark.

I was thinking, maybe we can even get an old rotor, sign it and put it by his grave. Just to let him know that when ever we go out in our 7's or any vehicle, he will be in our hearts. Or we can give it to his family to show that mark was a great person with many friends. It is just an idea.

I'm at a loss for words... This is truly heart breaking. Mark was such an incredible guy.

I will always remember him showing me pictures from his trip across country for the big rotary meet in Indy. And, of course, his face on the day his new ride was unveiled.

His knowledge was endless, and his heart was pure gold. I will surely miss him. My condolences go out to Cyd and the rest of Mark's friends and family.

Rotor on, Mark!

Mark was a great guy and a true inspiration. I was always in awe at how well he dealt with this disease, never giving up and always smiling to keep others from worrying about him. Mark was a reminder of how precious life is and to enjoy it while you can.

We met about 6 years ago when Sevens on the Shore was officially formed. Met him at the first meet and I don't recall Mark ever missing a meet. I only wish I would have met him sooner to have had more time as friends.

Mark - R.I.P. You won't be forgotten and I'll count on you to ride shotgun as a guardian angel when cruising the highways.

Jack

P.S. - I think a cruise on Mark's favorite route, Hwy 311 and 90, would be a good tribute.

Guys, like Jonathan said, the greatest thing we can do right now is show our support by making it out to either the funeral or the visitation tomm. evening. I will be there tomm. evening with Dyan.

We def. will honor Mark in some way. Perhaps we can pitch in to get one of those Rotary Clocks or and have it engraved. Let's figure something out and present it to Cydney at our next meet.

Josh: my father, Stephen, Alison, and I will be going tonight if you would like to follow us. My dad is calling to get directions, and he is leaving work early.

I'd like to get there right around six. I'm in class right now, but I will give you, Stephen, and my dad a call when I get out of class. Ted, Josh, and whom ever else, if y'all see this and would like to convoy, feel free to call me.

Rotor on, Mark.
