Anyone here in West Texas?

I just picked up a 94 RX7, I'm living in Midland and plan to rebuild her to at least some of her original glory.

I'm wondering if there are any rotary experts in West Texas. I might could use some expertise along the way.

Thanks. If for some reason I can't figure things out myself, I'll look them up.

black on black...stealing my idea, eh Brad (kidding!)? Colin, here. Welcome to the "odd" side. Enjoy the car...it will be fun. WHat all do you have done? Depending on what I diagnose with an "oil burning" issue, I may be going much further quicker than anticipated...

Hey Colin, haha. It's actually black/tan. But, I ordered some black carpet and plan to get some seats at some point... so it'll be black soon, haha. I've just never been a fan of peanut butter interior.

This car has all kinds of problems, loose wires, missing vacuum hoses, and cut wires under the hood. The interior initally looked pretty bad, but I'm realizing now it's just mostly dirty. The exterior is pretty jacked too. I'll have to give you a call or something, maybe put somepics of Fbook. But, it has an "S5 hybrid turbo" whatever that means. The guy said he made 400whp in the other car this turbo was in. It has a greddy v-mount intercooler, 3" turbo back, freshly rebuilt motor(but something is probably wrong). I just ordered a Power FC, wideband and GM 3 bar MAP.

I'll probably do a compression test this weekend, i guess.

Haha, yeah. I think the shop that 'built' this thing totally screwed the guy i bought it from. He showed me receipts of where he paid them $8k to rebuild the motor and put a single turbo. The words were 'this car will be ready to run 11s'. Then, he drove it for 2 weeks, messed it up. Then after a month of messing with it, gave up and got a job where he needed a back seat. So, i helped him out and bought the car on the low.

But, yeah... they are paying me enough to keep me happy. And I'm looking at May and June right now on my calendar. I'll probably only be in midland 2 weekends in 2 months. So, I get around. Just not to So Cal much
