Ok i will chime in what chassis do you want to run? 1st or 2nd gen i have a several ragged a$$ first gens that won't blow your budget past 50$ granted i would have to give you some take out 5speeds and we would have to thrash through my stash of parts to build one as they are all parts cars

or we could go route #2 i have a 89 that was smacked on the end if we pulled the interior and some of the better parts i could let you guys have it cheap, neither car would come with motor as someone has already said they would build one this says that really someone from this build group needs to come see me

Congrats on your drive last weekend. Did your run ITE?

I would love to be in the mix here as this event sounds like a blast, my other projects are just beating me down.
Paul,

Would be great to get you involved if you are interested. I know you know the 1st gens well, that would be an option. You could benefit and end up with the car at the end, works for me. We still have 9 months left and I think both of us have bigger priorities right now like our own cars. My focus is Nationals in Sept and there is a lot to be done before then.

Thanks, I did run ITE last weekend, it's still in ITS power/handling mode but some of the small stuff kicks it out of ITS right now (opened up front end for air flow - radiator and intake, headlights and other parts removed, etc- I still even met ITS weight). I could probably have kept it in ITS and had no problem, a rules nerd could have gotten me on minor things and I'd rather just run it 100% legit. I am still looking for the right person to help me get more power, I am 90% on what to do but am having difficulty finding someone to do it. There's about 15rhwp at minimum that I'm missing.

Good luck at TWS next weekend if you are going, I won't make it but rather and am doing the following weekend at MSRH with NASA.

Whoever goes forward with this project certainly needs to pay rotarydude a visit. It would be kind of cool to have a "rx7club.com south forum sponsored car".

Yes Mark TWS it is, going to the shop today to load up. Spent 4 hours yesterday getting my halo seat in the car....the car won that battle. For your motor I would recommend Steve Kan or Brian Cain. Steve is a former SCCA racer, and one of the best 13b guys in the country IMHO.

Hey Dave, is this your spread? I was playing I-spy with online mapping programs and I ran across this little patch of land.

uh that was the property until we decided to sell it 2 years back, everything outside the fence was crushed the stuff inside was moved to the new facility. we went from 12 acres of land to 3.5... it is ok we were only using about 1.5 for cars anyway and the tradeoff was worth it. I went from working with 3 sheds, 2storage containers, a 2 car carport, renting 3 storage bays and parts all over the house to............ a 12,000 sq ft building on 3.5 acres....... yes that would be 12 thousand square feet..... when i get home i will post pics of it I think you will like

They can't prove you rebuilt the transmission

Just mix and match parts until you get a strong, working tranny.

I think I have 4 total trannies right now maybe 5, couple each s4 and s5 NO TURBOS, the FB chassis and the FC chassis I was looking to "donate" both have trannies the FB could come with a couple so you could find the best one.

I just got to watch this guy run his 07 car while working corners at MSRH and he KNOWS how to drive!

That was a pretty clean racecar.

I want to be on a team with a rotary powered vehicle for sure - but for the backup plan B I've located an old Caprice Police Car. It runs great but it looks so shitty that it could pass for a $50 car! Might be kind of cool to put a light bar back on it and give it a crazy paint job.
