I feel the same way Scott. I'm an hour away from the track on non F1 weekends. I looked at hotel prices back in March and everything was sold out with the exception of a motel 8 in San Marcos and it was like $300 a night(normal rate was like $50). If I'm still in the country, I'll just ride the pony and drive back and forth.

I got 2 tickets, it would be cool if there was a little party, meet, or something for all the Rx7 people

I booked my hotel back in November of last year, had to wait until like November 20 to do it because I couldn't book more than a year in advance. Got my rooms for $125 per night.
Now I am just hoping they don't try to bone me and tell me I have to pay more....but I have a confirmation and have already paid for the room, so hopefully all is well.

It's going to be a fiasco I am afraid to get to the track, with roughly 150,000 going to only THREE spots in the city to take the shuttles? Unless of course you were lucky enough to purchase a PSL early and get parking on-site.

I figure to allow at least 3 hours to get to the track each day.

I'm worried about the parking/transportation to the track for sure. Does anyone know the shuttle schedule or locations?

The recommended transportation to COTA is by the official shuttle bus network operated by COTA in partnership with the City of Austin, Travis County and Capital Metro. The locations are: corner of 15th Street and Trinity Street in downtown Austin and the Travis County Fair and Expo Center at 7311 Decker Lane

There is supposed to be one location announced in the next few weeks.

I go to the byron nelson every year, and the only way to get there is by bus, they must have about 200,000 people go to that thing, and its not really a problem.

I have an extra 3 day pass for turn 9 that I am likely going to sell on Ebay....figured I'd post it up here first in case anyone missed out on getting a seat. This is for an actual bleacher seat, not just general admission. I am looking to get $500 for the ticket since that is what they are going for on Ebay, with GA passes going for around $300.
