Anyone going to the U.S. Grand Prix in November?

Word is that tickets will go on sale about the time of the Canadian GP June 10th. So you won't have to wait long. I am anxious to see the pricing for grandstand seats that have not already been sold to the wealthy few who bought "Seat Licenses". Word is they will be near $400 each similar to the Canadian GP.
Cheapest I've been offered so far is license and ticket to the November event at $1550 total....I just can't justify that kind of green so I guess I'll be watching it on SPEED TV like all the rest. At least I got my $100 deposit back when I balked on the license deal which came first with no mention of ticket price.

Tickets go on sale early summer according to COTA website. Theyre gonna start @ 150 for a 3 day pass. You can subscribe to the COTA e-mailing list and theyll let you know when they go on sale. Theyre on facebook and always have track progress updates.

I doubt it too, but seems possible with montreal general admission 3 day passes going for about that price. I was thinking @ 500usd for a decent spot with a monitor and maybe shade but just gotta wait and see.

Man I wish I could go!
Someday....
I bought 6 tickets with my family, and then wound up buying two PSL seats for the wife and I. Uncecided which I will keep vs sell for this race, but a private tour and ride around the unfinished track is a nice bonus for being a PSL holder.
Yes it is. Very cool. I have some friends in turn 5. I've heard it's a great area. I'm undecided at the moment. I think I'm just going to go general admission this year and scout out a location for 2013/potential PSL.
We'll have to arrange a meet up of all the board members when Nov comes around.
Haha... Killeen isn't that bad. I arrived in Texas back last September, but deployed 10 days later. Got back in Mid April, went on leave for a month or so in May/June, and am back and unpacking now. I do like what I've seen of Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio. I still have to get my cars here. They are still in TN.
They wanted over $500/nt for a travelodge. I was amazed. I ended up getting a hotel in San Antonio for around $100/nt. I couldn't justify an additional $400/nt for 2 rooms just to be an hour closer to the event.
