Yeah, I knew everyone usually meets at 8, but Tim made his March GTG post about 7:30p, so I figured "Well, if he's coming, maybe it's really at 7:30" - but I got there at just past 7:30 and I was the first one there, other than the older couple in the RX8 who got there a little earlier to eat at Cheddars.

I'm not being mean about it or anything. I'm just giving whoever a hard time, and telling any new guys who want to come out - Plan for 8.

What's kinda funny is when the 8 owners used to come out, the 8 owners would start showing up around 7 and the 7 owners would start showing up around 8. A little backwards, are we?

That is weird. I remember when me and Josh first came. We did the Cheddars thing, assuming it was in the cheddars parking lot, so we came at 7, circle around, ate at cheddars, walked around. 8 oclock, paid, left, and wow, not cheddars parking at all. It was so sort of overflow parking, but overflow for what? Seems awkward that being paved like that. Seems like some other sort of business should have been placed there instead. Anyway, thats when I figured it wouldnt be a bad thing taking my mustang, because I saw another mustang there. Seems to be rather a hang out of all car enthusiasts, not just mazdas.

God I hope so!

I'm kidding - at this last meet, about half of us went out and split a couple of pitchers, just a couple of beers among friends, not exactly an evening of debauchery - unless you count the half naked men loving on each other on the TVs at the restaurant.

The other half went to Starbucks and had coffee - I wasn't in this group but I have been before. Generally it's mostly the same - hanging out with people who share an interest and talk about Rx7s as well as other things. The only thing really different between the two groups was the hotness of the waitresses, the loudness of the venue, and whether you wanted a $5 coffee or a $3 beer.

Truly, depending on how I feel on a given night, there may be times I'll go out and have a couple of beers - but I'm just as likely to want to spend a lowkey night at the coffee house. It's just a matter of how you feel. Starbucks does have 'justa coffee' too for around $1 - they just don't want word to get out.

All Fun Ford Weekend cars must be powered by ford... ...and mazda aint ford... ...even though, for some reason, the capri engine was.

So's the GT - but it takes more than one or two cars to save a brand.

okay the GT sucks just because of all the recalls..... but does it look good.

the cobra.. well it is sexy but to expensive for a mustang.... Altho 03/04 cobras *drool*

Ford is also selling aston martin or however that is spelled for some billion of dollars. Ford has nothing that they can really work up on. I mean the Fusion is actaully a decent car, not many problems and the 500 is actaully good too. Just the competition of imports vs Ford and such, imports win hands down. If it wasnt for the fact that the mustang was such a history icon I bet it would have been killed off with the last model. I do like the newer style mustangs but I know way to much about them and wouldnt buy one. Now if someone gave me one I would sell it but still.

So I went to the Yamaha dealership and the guy was trying to get me to buy an r1.... I laughed. If I wasnt already trying to kill myself buying a bike, I am now trying to kill myself with an r1...
