I'm not sure what elderberries smell like - as long as they don't smell like dingleberries, you're probably fine, I would think.

edit: Wow, I just looked it up, because I thought it would be funny if someone made an Elderberry cologne that you could buy your father for Father's Day. It turns out, Elderberry is one of the two main flavors in Sambuca.

Looks like one of those scorched tip titanium things that was popular for a while - have you checked e-bay? I haven't seen anything just like that one.
