[Gotham Racing] We're moving to a New Location

We are excited to announced that We're in the process of moving to a bigger location starting this week and will expand our businesses to other areas.
Our new location is located about .5 miles from our previous facility and is 9000sq ft. It has a build-in paint booth in which we will begin to provide painting services to our customers (body kits, full car paint services, repair, dent removal etc..). We also merged with another company that offers custom stereo/fabrication installations to our customers. The fabricator/tech who does the work is known in alot of car shows and stereo competitions. I'm not sure if he does cheaper install (I'm sure he does) but most of his customers spend anywhere from $40-80k for his work. He currently has a nsx, SC430, Porsche 996 and a navigator he's working on.
We might run into delays in answering phone calls and/or order. Please bare with us until we fully relocate.

Thank you

Steve

Yes, very interested in hearing more details about the paint shop. Who the painter(s) is/are, previous experience, examples/pics of their work...

Congratulations steve! When do you expect to be fully moved in with lifts and everything? and is the new shop on the same street just a bit further down the road? and is martin the person that will be doing your painting/bodywork?

I was told that someone who works with Martin will be doing the body work, but not Martin himself.

The shop is across 377 near the O'Reilly's.

Congrats Steve! I just wanna compliment on your progressive thinking. Too many shops have closed minds and try and keep everything their doing, and that's it.

Take for example the fact that RP Performance (Bret Pedro's shop that works on 1st and 2nd gens), Piper Motorsports (Mitch Piper's fabrication shop), Mr Spoiler (Dan Rose's body shop), and PFS (3rd gen supershop) were all located within one mile radius of each other. If they joined forces, you would have had the largest rotary conglomerate on the East Coast, EASY.

It appears you're picking up the slack where others have left off. Now ppl can drop off their cars at your shop for anything and everything. Accidents, bodywork, mods, service, audio stuff etc. And you can even detail and do body work while cars are down at the shop waiting for parts, etc. And hopefully your audio guy can take a load off by doing wiring as well, like for gauge and alarm installs and what not.

Again, just wanna congratulate you on the new facility and the EXCELLENT idea. GothamRacing never ceases to impress me

~Ramy

Hey Steve, Congrats. I really like the pictures of the new shop and can't wait to see it. I'm going to try to come up there to see it before I leave for IRAQ. Hope to see you all soon.

LOL! The T-bird I used to share with the parents most definitely was a dumpster on wheels. Was the LX with the V8, had gobs of torque... but whenever you wanted to use it something broke. As a matter of fact, we still have it. It is sitting in the garage with the engine halfway torn apart because it blew a headgasket and we never got around to actually fixing it back up...... for about 3 years now.

Let's just say that I *was* an investor in the body shop in which I haven't received any financial records and/or profit from the company ever since it was open. On top of that, martin keeps telling me that there wasn't any profit. Even when the place was busy when we were sending him businesses. After my lawsuit against him (knowing that he commited fraud), my lawyer reviewed his financial records and found that he made a total of $140k in profit since the company was opened. On top of that, he deliberatly spends company money on personal use (buying cars, wheels, child support, food, beer, rent, entertainment etc...). That alone was over $55k from what we added together. My judgement against him is over $48k from the court (including lawyers fee). So like I said, until he pays my money, he won't come anywhere near our shop. If anyone feels that they want to deal any businesses with someone like him, feel free to do so. My personal opinion is that he's a crook (same category as Brian Weiner) and should be put in jail for what he has done. He will say all these glorious things about how good he is and how bad every other shops are but when it comes to him doing the work, you'll not get what you pay for and wait way longer than expected. I'm sure that there're a few rx8 owners and other cars he painted can vouch for that.

Dazy, I'm not sure what kind of relationship you have with martin but at least you now know why I don't go or talk to anyone over there. I wasn't allowed to say anything until my lawsuit is finalized (which is why I don't talk to any customers that goes to him also since I dont know who is customer and who's his friend). I'm sure that he probably feed you with some BS like he did to me to help him open the business.

I know that it pisses me off when someone comes in and wanted a paint job from him because i know that he's stealing more money from me but at the same time, I couldn't say anything about it until my lawuit is final.
